About Kurtis

My name is Kurtis and I have been playing in and running TRPG games for over 17 years, starting out as a GM from my very first game. As a storyteller, I find inspiration in creating immersive worlds that challenge my players' creativity and strategic thinking.

I got started GMing...

I've been a GM as long as I've been playing TTRPGS. At 15 years old, I had (marginally) the most knowledge of the game at the time, so I got defaulted to forever GM. I love it. It's my favorite side of the table to be on!

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

My mom thinks I'm handsome, my bullies think I'm funny, and my crush thinks I'm a really good friend.

When I'm not running games I'm...

Huge cinema fan! I enjoy both blockbusters and arthouse films. I'm always down to talk about movies.

How Kurtis runs games

At the core of my gameplay is a focus on telling a compelling and immersive story. I strive to involve my players as an active part of the narrative, shaping the world through their choices and actions. While my style often includes mature themes, it is balanced with lighthearted humor and a mix of role-playing, combat, and exploration. My dungeons are filled with challenging puzzles, epic boss battles, and rich environments to discover. Non-player characters you encounter are memorable with their own unique personalities. I am open to a variety of character builds and approaches, but I also enjoy the thrill of tackling tougher challenges with "power-rolled" characters.
