About me
My name is Kurtis and I have been playing in and running TRPG games for over 17 years, starting out as a GM from my very first game. As a storyteller, I find inspiration in creating immersive worlds that challenge my players' creativity and strategic thinking.
GM Style
At the core of my gameplay is a focus on telling a compelling and immersive story. I strive to involve my players as an active part of the narrative, shaping the world through their choices and actions. While my style often includes mature themes, it is balanced with lighthearted humor and a mix of role-playing, combat, and exploration. My dungeons are filled with challenging puzzles, epic boss battles, and rich environments to discover. Non-player characters you encounter are memorable with their own unique personalities. I am open to a variety of character builds and approaches, but I also enjoy the thrill of tackling tougher challenges with "power-rolled" characters.

Our games were great primarily due to Kurtis. He was my first ever GM, and was very patient with me while I learned the ropes and became more comfortable roll playing as my character. He is very good about talking with his players, and trying to include things in the story that can align with player goals, but wont just give you things for free. He is also really good about rolling with the game as it changes -- players are inherently chaotic, and when we did something he hadn't planned for, he was always able to figure out what came next on the fly. His storytelling and world building are also top notch, as well as his voices, which all contribute to an immersive game. I would recommend Kurtis to any player, new or experienced.
He is wonderful at providing a lush world with plenty of options, as well as allowing for about as much creativity as you can muster. Not really a railroad sort of GM. He's very open minded, and fun to play any kind of TTRPG with. ☺️ I would know, I've been playing games with him for the last 4-5 years!
Kurt was my first dm. So first and foremost I appreciate him for slowing down the game and working with me. He was always prepared and has the ability to change on the fly id the group decided to go off the tracks But his real claim to fame for me is when I almost didn't play because I had a scheduling conflict that would take me away from three weeks ( three sessions for us). Inorder for me to be able to play, sprouting my love for d and d, he came up with the perfect plan. My character would be a catapiller that would cocoon for the three weeks I was gone. When I returned I would emerge as a butterfly character. Needless to say the character was super fun to play.
In ten years of playing and running campaigns, I have never been more invested in a character and world as I am with Kurtis' game. He has an unmatched ability to make real the players' vision for their character. Together with rich open worlds, and compelling narrative, I can not recommend his work highly enough.
