About Troy
When I was in middle school back in the 1980s, I learned about Dungeons & Dragons. The first version I owned was the red and blue box sets for BECMI. However, since I lived in a small town, I didn't have anyone to play it with. About 6 years ago, I met someone who was playing 5th Edition with a group. After a few sessions playing with them, I started running the games. This was in 2021. I have run 5th Edition games for this group and for my family and friends since then. Also, I learned how to run BECMI and Old-School Essentials games and have run these games for my family.

How Troy runs games
I believe the rules provide boundaries and help to create challenges. However, if they slow down the game or unbalance it, I look for ways to improve on them. I want to challenge the players and encourage them to work together. I strive to have everyone engaged, at least for most of the game.

Troy's ideal table
I like to run games that provide my players with challenges that they will need to overcome as a team. Usually, they will be able to overcome the challenges. However, some of the best moments can come from our failures or PC deaths.
