About Kanton

Hey I'm Kanton - a USMC Veteran, storyteller, and Game Master. I run immersive, story driven D&D and Daggerheart games that focus on cinematic roleplay, tactical combat, and player-first story telling. I've been running 4+ hour sessions every other weekend for the last two years, including two long-form campaigns: the gothic horror classic Curse of Strahd as well as my own original dark fantasy campaign, Fall of the Mad King. I started playing D&D in high school, but about two years ago I took the leap into the GM seat and never looked back! Since then, I've run two long-form campaigns lasting over nine months each, plus a whole bunch of one-shots and mini-arcs in between. I draw on my background in theater and my time in the Marines, to lead collaborative and memorable sessions. Whether you're a brand new player or years of expierience, my games are designed to be welcoming, action-packed, and story-rich. I provide pre-generated charactes, custom maps, curated playlists, and all the tools you need to jump in. I became a GM because

I believe storytelling is an art and skill! I wanted to create the epic character arcs that transform a character making them even more memorable. I'm a fan of the characters that explore the worlds I create.

When a group of friends from high school asked me out of the blue if I would be willing to DM a D&D campaign. Only with the experience of a player before, I took the seat and ran Curse of Strahd for a group of 7. A Classic story I never completed as a player and was the most fun I had DMing!

When I'm not running games I'm...

Planning future sessions, making maps, finding music, and writing my own homebrew Campaign. Outside of the game, I'm a Father with a wonderful family that supports my passion for GMing, I started a tournament winning paintball team!(Now Retired), and I'm a full time student.

How Kanton runs games

When playing in one of my games expect to be treated with respectful friendliness. I do some roleplay (silly voice not required), I do well crafted combat encounters, and I run fun player-driven stories working with you to get the story arcs you desire. I reward creative solutions to opposition.

What's it like at my table? Well glad you asked! We have a great sense of humor and no safe spaces! We get into our characters and have fun building unforgettable adventures, and characters. If you are a Military Veteran this is a great place to come play! I run classic D&D style fantasy adventures. We welcome new and veteran players! We also are building a great discord community!

A group of players that are invested in the game but able to still have a sense of humor and make jokes along the way. We keep it light and do some roleplay though its not required. Get invested in the game, get creative and have fun.
