About Karlokos
Hello, Adventurers! I actually started my journey in TTRPGs as a Dungeon Master long before I ever sat on the player’s side of the screen. For over 12 years I’ve been running D&D at the table since middle school age, and in that time I’ve had the joy of working with all kinds of players. To me, anyone who shows up to share in the story (and arrives mostly on time) is a new friend to be made. And if I can inspire a few of them to become DMs themselves, then I’ve done my part to pass the torch and maybe loosen my own “forever DM” shackles. I look forward to seeing you at my table. Adventure awaits!

I got started GMing...
In middle school. I realized no one else would take the role so I picked up screen and dice because I had a story to tell. I have been running games ever since.
My favorite system of all Time is
D&D got me into the world of GMing, though lately I've been trying to branch out with different systems.
How Karlokos runs games
The heart of my approach is simple: I want to help create stories you’ll remember and retell for years. Beyond that, I see TTRPGs as a chance to connect people, spark laughter, and forge new friendships around the table. Now, a small heads-up: I do love cliffhangers and nail-biting combat. My groups often joke that newcomers should prepare for “1 HP left” battles. That said, while I might play up the role of the “sinister DM” (Chris Perkins is my patron saint), my goal is never to wipe the party. What I’m really after is tension, excitement, and that triumphant rush when you pull through against the odds.

My games focus on...
A healthy mix of roleplay and combat. With both serious and humorous moments that balance each other out.
When it comes to voices
I believe voices are an integral part of the Gms toolkit and like to believe I have a modest amount in store.
Karlokos's ideal table
I prefer players who don't lean too hard into min-maxing but wont make an entirely unviable character either.

I love it when a player
Gets into character. Roleplays with other members of the group and not just me. Takes notes. Knows what spells they'll cast by their turn.
My perfect party mix is
A group of characters that are distinct and all have distinct skills and backgrounds that will let them shine in their own moment.
