About Kysa
Old-taku of a thousand fandoms. Voice actor in my own head. Occasional cosplay gremlin. I run character-driven games with a mix of seat-of-pants consequences, humor, and emotional moments. I love strong personalities, messy decisions, and seeing what happens when players push the story in unexpected directions. My tables are talkative, a little chaotic, big on character moments and not always perfectly on the rails (on purpose). There will be jokes. There will be derailment. And sometimes, when it lands, there will be moments that hit harder than expected. 🎠SO HOW DO I DM, ANYWAY? I like: NPCs with personality (and yes, I will act them out), Player choices actually mattering, letting the story grow from what the party does, not just what’s written. I’m also: Still growing as a DM, learning tools like Foundry as I go, Focused on making the game fun over making it perfect. 🤝 TABLE VIBE CHECK This is a collaborative, fun-first table. We balance silliness + story, chaos + consequence, and “ok, but hear me out” energy. I use safety tools and clear expectations so everyone feels comfortable jumping in. 🎯 YOU'LL FIT RIGHT IN IF YOU… • Enjoy character-driven play without needing it to be super serious all the time • Like a bit of chaos and table chatter • Are okay with a DM who’s learning and adapting • Want to tell a story together, not just play optimally If that sounds like your kind of table, welcome in!

I became a GM because
I got into GMing because, in my best Thanos voice, “I’ll do it myself.” I wanted a very specific kind of game: character-driven, emotionally invested, a little messy, and layered. And the easiest way to get that was to build it myself.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Immersive, character-driven, and intentional. I lean into voices and vibes, build around what PCs want (and fear), and even when we're off the rails, I keep tone, stakes, and player comfort in check.
When I'm not running games I'm...
crafting cosplay pieces and overcommitting to new fandoms, deep in text-based roleplay threads at 2AM, and building original worlds I may or may not ever publish.
How Kysa runs games
My goal as a GM is to build worlds that feel lived in; where choices matter, relationships shift, and things don’t just reset next session. I set the stage and keep things moving, but the story comes from what you do with it. 🌟 ROLEPLAY: MID TO HIGH Character interaction drives a lot of my games. I do voices, lean into personalities, and let conversations actually change things. NPCs have opinions. Secrets matter. Sometimes talking is the most dangerous thing in the room. ⚔️ COMBAT When fights happen, they mean something. Not every session needs combat—but when it shows up, it has stakes. Expect pressure, some chaos, and moments where things could go very right or very wrong. 🧠INTRIGUE & CONSEQUENCES There’s usually something going on under the surface; motives, tension, people not saying the whole truth. You can dig into it or ignore it, but either way, the world reacts. At the end of the day, I aim for a table that’s collaborative, a little chaotic, and still intentional. We can joke around and still tell a story that hits when it needs to.
Kysa's ideal table
My table is collaborative, character-forward, and a little messy (in a good way). We take the story seriously, even when we’re joking around. I want players who are willing to invest in their characters, make bold choices, and see what happens when things don’t go perfectly. ✨ THE VIBE CHECK IS USUALLY: Strong roleplay and character moments NPCs with opinions (and sometimes problems with you) Consequences that actually stick A mix of tension and humor Clear boundaries and active safety tools 🤝YOU'LL HAVE FUN WITH MY TABLES IF YOU: Care about the story, not just the mechanics Are cool sharing spotlight and building scenes together Communicate like a normal human Can separate character conflict from player conflict You don’t need to be amazing at voices or know every rule. Just show up, engage, and be willing to play in the space with others. If you like games with 'living' characters, evolving relationships, and choices that matter, you’ll probably feel right at home.
