About JFinkz
Good timezone! My name is Joe or JFinkz (He/They) to many, though some know me as Snaxx (it’s a long story, perhaps your persuasion roll is good enough to learn why 😉). JFinkz is a Dungeon/Game Master, Aerospace and Software Systems Engineer, Game Designer, Business Analyst, Musician, and an adventurer of the natural world in their downtime. Oh, and a Coffee Addict, must not forget that. Since the beginning of time, or well, the mid-1990’s he has been designing various odd games to entertain himself and his friends, games that he would learn could be described as Table-Top Role Playing Games. None of these games would see the light of publication, or really progress far from their initial conception, however after years of education and jobs in engineering, he would find his way to D&D 5e, having always been fascinated by D&D 3.5 and 4e books, but never having the time, friends, money. add other excuses here, to play. Starting his 5e playing and DMing in 2019 he has mostly endeavored to bring more people into the TTRPG scene, whether through 5e, or other TTRPG. Through many methods of play and DM sessions, JFinkz has found that he enjoys creating stories for people to enjoy through collaborative storytelling, character development, Intriguing and expansive plots, enticing NPCs and most importantly, fun for all. “Together, lets create a great story and have fun doing it.”

How JFinkz runs games
I am a versatile DM, who appreciates good role-play and story creation with my players as we traverse either worlds well defined by modules and adventures written by great writers or a world home-brewed by myself, but malleable by my players. I am well versed in the RAW rules of D&D 5e, but I do not let it bog us down in sessions. I mainly run "living-world" campaigns, which means the world around my players is not staying static, but is changing based on decisions made, and time taken by the players. I run many home rules, some of which may be more in a "hey we're testing this, please let me know what you all think" or a "I've found this rule to be particularly enjoyed, we'll run it, but please let me know if it's not working for us". I am always willing to help player's learn rules that they may be having trouble with. I run my combats with the ideology that MOST of these enemies aren't brainless zombies; except for the brainless zombies, and will have tactics, ideas, and even set traps depending upon what they might learn about the party. Finally, I expect all those who join my table to be respectful of others who they are joining in these games, and come in looking to have fun.
