About me
I started running games to help people get a group together for the systems they want to play. I typically run sci-fi and fantasy games like dnd5e, PF2e, and wh40k. I am open to playing any system at almost anytime so feel free to ask. I am a narrative focused GM and I prefer to incorporate my players' characters backstories into the adventures I run. I also like to run my games with a balance of seriousness and comedy similar to the Adventure Brothers show. I am always willing to help people learn a new system. If you would like help learning a system feel free to ask. This document contains my collaboration tools, table rules, safety tools, and player advice. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IoQ4juGpQu8qs95i48w-5msrO_fQwY3291gf8-URt74/edit
GM Style
I am a narrative focused GM who enjoys roleplay and telling collaborative stories. I also like to spice things up with the occasional combat encounter. I prefer to run my games on Foundry VTT or Roll20. I am always willing to assist people with willing learning to play. I am open to running any TTRPG system or adventure. Also I am willing to run a custom adventure or themed campaign.

I cannot in good faith recommend Salim as a GM. There are of course the minor complaints. His games are pretty barebones, blank battlemaps, no custom art, not even Midjourney. A world that feels oddly empty. On several occasions he has misunderstood rules, or mixed up rules from different editions of the game. But who hasn't? There are the personal complaints. The game I played with him was very focused on combat. There were few NPCs to interact with, or challenges that could be overcome with skill and foresight. But those are subjective. The biggest reason I cannot recommend Salim is because he has a very hostile personality. This is a GM who rejected an interesting sounding home-brew because it had no pictures. Who once asked me if I had any questions about an upcoming game, and then told me not to waste his time with "stupid questions". After the last session I played with him, I messaged him in private and told him that I wasn't having much fun with his game. I explained that I felt there was little to do in the game besides combat, and that my character hadn't really done much to effect the story in 5 session. I also explained that I felt he was unfairly targeting my character, because he seemed not to like my character concept. He immediately turned hostile. Blamed me for not "creating my own fun". Told me I was a "shitty player". Tried to blame a player that had earlier left the game for my lack of enjoyment. And finally he blocked me from his Discord, and deleted the game we were playing. A game which by then had 3 players, having gone through a total of 9 in as many sessions.
Honestly, I only did 1 game but it was fun. He thought of a way for me to join, he told me the rules before I played and he's very patient. I almost died from an explosion but because I was a new player he tried to save my character. Was still pretty banged up and my stats were lowered but Honestly, it was fair. I would recommend him to anyone.
Salim is patient, knowledgeable, welcoming and inspires interest in, and is interested by, the games he runs. He took time to familiarise me with game lore, mechanics and Foundry VTT before running an enjoyable, plot-driven Dark Heresy one-shot that lead to a suitably grimdark denouement, working skilfully with a cast of diverse NPCs and PCs.
