About Iggy

I’m a creative easy going human in his 30’s based in rainy England. A little about me… I’m an arty, corgi dad who started playing ttrpgs in the dark times of Covid, quickly progressed from intrepid hero to Gm after watching way too much CR and D20, I started with 5e and have progressed into the new 24/5.5 what ever you wish to call it rules, and have recently started dabbling in Daggerheart. My games are collaborative, and rule of cool is key! I want to help bring the stories you want to tell to the table, and if the core rules don’t do it I’m happy to introduce homebrew/ third party content to help bring it to life (providing it isn’t utterly broken) In my spare time I am partial to coffee, drawing characters and gaming! But most importantly of all I am a corgi papa and he does like to add his own sound effects sometimes too…

I got started GMing...

After playing in my first game, i wanted to start running and tell stories through this medium. I love crafting what players do into the world and adventure.

My favorite system of all Time is

Would have to be dnd 5e as this is the system i started with! Though im loving what I’ve seen so far from Daggerheart

How Iggy runs games

My games are a mix of role play driven storytelling and epic, high stakes combat, with each given equal spotlight. Expect memorable NPCs, recurring villains, and battles that will challenge both your character’s strength and your creativity. Heroism is at the heart of my stories, The player characters will face danger, darkness, and hard choices, but also have moments to laugh, triumph, and create legends together. I love when players come up with clever or unexpected solutions, and I’ll often run with the wild ideas you bring to the table. I also use the Rule of Cool, rewarding cinematic and creative choices that make the game more fun and memorable. I enjoy weaving story threads from your characters into the larger world too, making your backstories and choices matter. In Session Zero, I encourage players to help shape the setting, naming towns, factions, or NPCs their characters know, to make the world feel like one the players own. To bring the world to life, I give each NPC their own voice and personality, (I’m not a pro voice actor but I try my best!), but I try to make them memorable. Tone wise, my games balance dark tension with humor, and I use music to heighten both atmosphere and emotion. My goal is to create a world where your characters feel like true heroes, tested, challenged, and remembered.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...

In my head Wes Anderson if he got into making action and fantasy films

I once ran a session...

where a a player was murdered by an angry cow!

When it comes to voices

I like to try my best, I'm no voice actor and a lot of npc's will probably end up sounding similar or different if you meet them again!

Iggy's ideal table

i like my table to be a nice friendly and fun atmosphere. I like it when players role play and what to make creative solutions to problems. I do like to run challenging combats too so I’d say players should be ready for that!

I love it when a player

When players come up with creative solutions, and think outside the box to solve issues.

I think metagaming...

Meta gaming is ok and i think we all do it, but i prefer it when players act as though there character would and think about if its something they would or wouldn’t know

My perfect party mix is

A good mix of Magic and Might is always fun. I especially love having a warlock in the mix!
