About James Cochran
Guiding adventures of all ages through the traps and trails of many a heroic journey has been a wonderful pastime of mine for many years. I have used a variety of role-playing systems to manage these games, such as Dungeons and Dragons and Savage Worlds. These adventures have been built from adventure paths created by the game designers, as well as some homebrew campaigns. I also have experience playing Pathfinder, 7th Seas, Spaceship Zero, and beyond. These games have been run virtually as well as in person, so I am accustomed to handling a game in either environment. For the last two years, I have worked as a professional dungeon master for True Dungeon in events all over the Midwest, as well as virtually. I hope to continue my master of dungeon delving with a wider audience. I would greatly appreciate joining you as a master storyteller.

My favorite shows/movies are
Young Frankenstein, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990), Logan, Dog Soldiers. I really love movies.
How James Cochran runs games
I don't consider myself a Game Master, but more of a narrator. I set the world out in front of the players and let them explore it. I keep combat snapping and interesting with surprises around every corner, and I create vivid and complex NPC's that players can interact with at their leisure. There are no railroads in my game unless the players want to go for a ride, but I know how to catch my players' attention when they seem to struggle on how to move forward. Playing with mutants, or aliens, as well as dragons, is fun for me. I'm up for any game. Recently, I received my copy of the released Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles RPG that I am excited to get into.

Rules are...
There to build a strong framework to guide a good game. Some can be bent other’s broken as long as it is for a good or cool reason. There is no losing in rpgs and when everyone has fun we all win.
James Cochran's ideal table
Teamwork makes the dream work. I love it when players talk to each other and collaborate to solve puzzles. If you have a good idea, please speak up and be respectful.

I love it when a player
Add to the narration. I had a player step in once and tell the party that they were disguised as the cell guard. They had already made the skill checks to sneak in and disguise themselves, and it really enhanced the gameplay.
My perfect party mix is
Every character has a role to play and a unique way to help the party. The best place to start is deciding how you want to help the party save the day.
