About me
I was drawn to TTRPGs (D&D5e specifically), like most of us, by the promise of adventure and fell in love with the collaborative storytelling and comradery that it brings. I tend to run games in my homebrew world but am no stranger to running modules, both official D&D and third party content. I currently have a group running the Dungeon in a Box campaign three and I would love to run that module for another group. I take my inspiration from many different sources including TV and podcasts. My homebrew world, Eldamar, takes inspiration from two of my favorite animes, One Piece and Attack on Titan. It is a world of mostly water that is scarred by a world ending explosion that happened centuries ago. However through divine influence or sheer luck, life persevered. Currently I work as a mail carrier which gives me ample time to think about D&D content as well as listening to a variety of TTRPG podcasts. Some of my favorites are NADDPOD, Dungeons and Daddies, and Three Black Halflings. I am always on the lookout for new podcasts so let me know if you have any I should check out.
GM Style
Rule #1 in my playbook is the rule of cool. As long as your shenanigans don't negatively impact another player. The game mechanics are there for a reason but in the words of Captain Barbossa, "The code is more what you’d call ‘guidelines’ than actual rules." My goal is to create an experience tailored to the group I'm playing with. I enjoy describing combat just as much as I enjoy role playing with my players. I have introduced D&D to many of my friends and have gotten good at teaching new players how to play the game. I also pride myself on being as inclusive as possible while trying to create a diverse story. I have used Roll20 for the past three years to run my games. This platform can be confusing at times but I have gotten very familiar with it and am able to direct players in how to use the app. I like to use Discord for audio/video which allows me to add music to set and change the vibe depending on the scene being set.
