About Angel
Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Angel, and I’ve always had a love of storytelling for as long as I can remember. Whether it be in comics, cartoons, anime, or video games, I love getting invested in a character’s journey and experiencing all their highs and lows with them. And now it gives me no end of joy and fulfillment to be able to tell those stories alongside my players! I love crafting characters and worlds with my players, then exploring their arcs and mysteries that push those characters to make meaningful and hard decisions. Most important to me is the fun and memorable moments made during those adventures. There are moments in the games that I have run with the players in my community that live in my memory so vividly, fights and arguments that feel real, and grief over fictional characters that stings as if they really existed. These are the moments I look for and try to create and bring me so much joy when my players and I can look back and discuss those moments even long after those campaigns have been completed. I’m very fortunate to found the community I have, with players that celebrate the games we play and the characters we all make, and I would be honored if you decided to join it as well!

How Angel runs games
My GMing style is based around what I feel is my greatest strength, storytelling, specifically around the player characters and the wishes of the party. I start with a general idea of the game I’m going to run, such as if I’m going to run a grittier street level masks game or a techno fantasy fabula ultima game, then I get to know the characters that will be exploring those worlds. I take care to get to know what the character is about, their past, enemies, and goals, and what the player would like out of their story. Then I tailor those games to the player characters. I enjoy this method because it creates games that I feel the players can really get invested in because the story is about them and makes their characters truly the protagonists! It also has the benefit of making each game a unique experience to that specific party. Roleplay is a big highlight in my games, and I prefer systems that let the players create full characters with stories that can be delved into. But combat is not forgotten either! I make combat dynamic with multiple factors to consider during the fight, such as the environment, minions, and innocents in danger, and it’s up to the players to come together as a team to best decide how they’ll achieve victory!
