Hello adventurers! If you are seeking to etch your hero's name into legend, look no further. I'm an experienced story teller with a passion for helping people bring their ideas to life. I have practice in running pre-made adventures, home brew stories, and several game worlds I've spent years developing. I can accommodate any play style from heavy rp, to wargaming, and even murder hobos. Let's build a story you'll never forget.
GM Style
I am a voice actor, so character voices are an important part of creating NPCs for me. The three pillars of the game are all important to me, so I make sure to create intrigue filled maps for the explorers, interesting plots and characters for the RPers, and challenging but fun combat encounters for the power gamers. I tend to go a bit easy on my players, but I can certainly turn up the difficulty settings if that's what you are looking for.

Despite having played and DM'd D&D for 40 years this is my first experience playing an online game. Admittedly I didn't have high expectations, thinking this could not replace friends around a table top. Thankfully I was wrong. I am typically not a fan of pre-written material as well because It makes for a herded feel and usually does not allow much for character growth. Again, I was wrong. Heartlock made for a very welcome virtual table, when I wasn't familiar with the technology aspect of it he was patient and helpful. He is a very good story teller. 12 or so sessions in despite using a pre-written campaign I feel my character has been able to grow and explore without being herded. When I have done things clearly not counted on he has done well "off the cuff" without losing sight of the story There is a very good flow to the story as well, never a feeling of being stuck. We also have a non-traditional group of characters or dare I say misfits, with different goals and character beliefs and Heartlock has done well to play to all those aspects and keep a sense of balance in the story. Heartlock is a very flexible GM. He considers all players' visions for their characters and incorporates them well into his adventures. Moreover, Heartlock is willing to contact players between sessions for personal downtime activities for individual characters. This is a major help and benefit. The pace of the sessions is great and he creates a vivid theater of the mind.
