About the adventure
You and your fellow adventurers will begin your education in the most renowned magical academy in the multiverse. Explore a massive and diverse campus, make friends from across countless worlds, and learn to use incredible arcane power the likes of which you can't find anywhere else in creation. This campaign will be a play by post format, meaning it will be constantly ongoing through discord. This format is ideal for players with busy or unpredictable schedules, and will have a heavy focus on role play and collaborative storytelling. Play by post campaigns are always ongoing, and you can post whenever you have the time, and best of all, scheduling conflicts become a thing of the past.

Creating your character
There will be a digital session zero in which you and all of the other players will be given further information on the campaign setting and will be aided in creating fun and interesting characters that work well with each other and in the world as a whole. While Strixhaven is a magical university, all 5e classes are perfectly viable, so feel free to play whatever you will have the most fun with.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Internet access and a discord account are the only mandatory resources. The discord is where all communication will take place in and out of character. I will also be displaying physical maps in Roll20, but an account is not necessary as the adventure will be text based. If you have or want to create a roll20 account though, this will give you quicker and easier visual on the setting and NPCs. Any resource for character creation such as Roll20 or DnD Beyond will be helpful as well for keeping an up to date character sheet, but a paper sheet is perfectly acceptable as well.
What Heartlock brings to the table
I have access to the core rulebooks, the Strixhaven campaign setting guide and a large variety of resource books with which to build interesting and diverse characters. As this campaign will most likely be online, any handouts that you as a player would want a physical copy of will need to be printed out by you, though this will never be a required thing.
Homebrew rules
The structure and mechanics of the campaign will be heavily adjusted from the campaign module to help make the game more fun, fluid, and streamlined.
