About Josh Hill

I began playing dnd in 2020, just my friends and I. Since then, we have all learned to love the game and our weekly sessions. I am only familiar with D&D 5E, but I am willing to branch out to other systems if people express interest. I have a preference for classic fantasy settings with swords and magic, but I have participated in other settings both as a GM and as a player. I believe that TTRPG play is the most fun and engaging when every player gets a share of the spotlight as we work towards a common goal, and my DM style reflects that.

How Josh Hill runs games

My games tend towards combat, but I include plenty of roleplay opportunities. I especially love throwing surprises at my players, whether that is a boss's second phase or something wild that one of my players and I cooked up together.

I prefer tables that are full of laughs and players that pay attention to the game. You might fit well at my table if you enjoy a good story and worldbuilding, enjoy some roleplay, and love combat. Players that fit well with my style are those that are respectful to everyone and are here to have a good time. I also highly suggest being able to commit to weekly sessions for several months.
