About Pedro

Hello! I am Pedro, I have 4 years of experience DMing for D&D 5e in various homebrew campaigns with friends. I love TTRPGs for the unique way of comunicating a story, having fun and meeting new people, and nerding out about personal interests. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player I'm sure I can provide a positive experience for you at the virtual table :)

I got started GMing...

because I really wanted to play D&D at the time and knew no one that played it so I boldly asked my friends if they would play with me if I ran a game and to my surprise they said yes! It did mean though that I was never able to leave the GM role but I quite like it so its not an issue. :)

How Pedro runs games

I am passionate about roleplay first and foremost because I think being able to place yourself in the story is the best way to engage with TTRPGs, I am more of a story-focused, hombrew, rule-of-cool GM but still enjoy and appreciate players that want tactical difficulty in games whether in combat or puzzles and try my best to provide that also. I am a Christian but am respectful of other points of view so long as others respect my own beliefs.

My games focus on...

Worldbuilding if it is in one of my homebrew settings and character-driven story where player characters have real stakes and ties to the story and world around them.

Pedro's ideal table

Creative, story-driven players that are willing to engage with the world around them and contribute to the story in interesting and impactful ways. Ideally players would be able to write compelling backstories that can be tied to a long-style campaign. The table should also be respectful of different points of view, disagreements are natural and are fine as long as they are dealt with in a calm manner without being rude to others. I take the rules seriously enough to where the game can make sense but not so seriously that fun ideas can't be rewarded and I would hope my players are the same.

I am for a vibe that's...

laidback but engaged with the game, taking the story of the game seriously but the tone of the story doesn't necessarily need to be serious

I love it when a player

uses their features and abilities in an out of the box way to do something cool even if it bends the rules a little

I think metagaming...

is cringe and should be penalised - just don't do it
