About The Gen X GM
Looking for More Than Just a Game? Have you ever wished your D&D group felt more like a fellowship—bound not just by quests, but by real camaraderie and unforgettable stories? Has your hero ever stood at the brink, where one roll could mean their name becomes legend… or a tale of what might have been? Have you journeyed through a campaign that touched every part of adventuring—combat, roleplay, and exploration—and still found yourself wishing it would never end? That’s the kind of game I run. For nearly 30 years, I’ve been guiding adventurers through the Forgotten Realms—bringing life to the people, politics, and peril of a world that lives and breathes beyond the dice rolls. I've led friends, family, coworkers, and countless convention-goers through deep, rewarding campaigns that leave lasting memories. Whether you're a seasoned player or just setting out on your first quest, I invite you to the table. Come experience storytelling where your choices truly matter, where characters grow alongside one another, and where every session leaves you counting the days until the next. Don't let the adventure pass you by—your legend starts here.

How The Gen X GM runs games
At its core, D&D is a social game—it's about coming together to tell an unforgettable story as a group. For me, fostering camaraderie and collaboration is just as important as the adventure itself. I believe in embracing all three pillars of play to create a rich, dynamic experience: Roleplay is the heart of the game—deep character interactions, tough choices, and memorable moments. Exploration should spark wonder—uncovering hidden lore, strange locations, and mysterious factions that make the world feel alive. Combat adds tension and excitement, and it should always feel meaningful. Survival isn't guaranteed, but smart tactics and teamwork will give you a fighting chance. My worlds are living, breathing places shaped by your actions. Factions have goals. NPCs have motivations. Choices have consequences. This isn’t a game where the story plays itself—you make it happen. Expect clear boundaries: the true conflict lies between good and evil, law and chaos—not between party members. PvP and excessive inter-party conflict aren’t part of the experience I offer. I keep homebrew rules light and focused, to support creativity without bogging down the game. Unique ideas and great roleplay are always welcomed—and rewarded. Finding the right GM or group can be tough. Feel free to reach out via Discord if you have questions or just want to get a feel for the table: PNWGamer#7111 Creativity should be rewarded and role playing doubly so. Homebrew rules should be simple and few. Creativity should be rewarded and welcomed at the table. Finding a good group or GM can be difficult. Please reach out on Discord with any questions or to see if we are a good fit! =) PNWGamer#7111

My games focus on...
Helping my players experience their character coming alive and feeling connected to the world we build together.
The Gen X GM's ideal table
Whether you’re an OSR veteran who thrives on grit and challenge, or a 5e newcomer drawn to story-driven heroics, there’s something here for you. I believe every era of D&D has added something valuable—and my table blends the best of both worlds: grounded, meaningful gameplay with the excitement of high adventure and evolving character arcs. What makes a great game truly unforgettable? Players who care—not just about their own character, but about each other’s stories. The best moments happen when the party feels like a team, when bonds form both in-character and out. Those are the players I love to DM for. If you're the kind of player who brings ideas, energy, and curiosity to the table—who can't wait for the next session—this might just be your new adventuring home.
