About Astro
If you' like to play in one of my games, just hit the "Message" button to the top right on this page! I have three games types that I run currently, and I will need to know which one you're interested in so I can let you know when I'll be running it! Game Types: 1. Learn to Play Daggerheart. 2. Daggerheart Improv. 3. Daggerheart 4-Session Adventure. I've been running TTRPGs weekly for 2 years now, and it's my favorite thing to do! I run my games with positivity and a friendly attitude. I love thinking outside the box and always reward creative thinking!

The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Goofy, many voices, "Yes you can do that, sounds awesome!"
My favorite system of all Time is
Daggerheart. I played one game and knew I would give up DnD to switch over. It feels like it was built just for me!
I started running games because...
I love the freedom of TTRPGs, where we can do things that you never can in video games. It's a whole world that WE create!
How Astro runs games
I adjust my games combat and roleplay to the players. If I have players who aren't as much role-players, then they'll see more combat/exploration content, for example. Also if players want to spend all day talking to the bartender, and everyone's having fun, then that's what we do! I'm always happy for my players to force me into improvisational situations, because it always create fun/interesting moments. I love having my players come up with ideas about our world and making them canon. Collaborative storytelling is my favorite aspect of TTRPGs! The main rule of all my games is 'fun' and my games are always about ensuring the players are having a good time! Just a note that there will not be many maps. I find that maps limit both mine and my players creativity, and most of my games are on a parchment grid or nothing at all!

I deal with rules issues by...
Not debating rules at the table, and making quick rulings and moving on. No one is having MORE fun by picking apart rules letter by letter.
Rules are...
unimportant compared to the fun of the players and the story at hand. I will always be the arbiter of when we modify/skip rules, but I'm happy to do so when it makes the scene more interesting or enjoyable!
I prep by
Getting enough sleep, brining dice, and having a pot of tea at the ready :) Many of my games have started with me having zero ideas about what we're doing that day, and some of those have been the best games we've ever played!
Astro's ideal table
The vibe is generally comedic and silly, within the bounds of the world we're playing in. Players who are creative and looking for a relaxing adventure will enjoy my games. I'm not concerned much with backstories, but I love knowing who your character is right now, their personality and physical attributes, their wants and needs. If you're not into making fully fleshed out and detailed characters, you'll fit right in! I love detail but I'm happy to just have 'Hank the Orc' haha. If you're a min-maxer, you may not enjoy my games as much, but as long as you don't debate my ruling while we're in the game, you'll still have fun, I promise! I don't say no often, but when I do it's in service of maintaining the tone and balance of the game. I always reserve the right to say 'no' to anything at all, to create my own rules, and modify existing rules. It's rare that I shut things down, but I'm not afraid to do it :)

I think metagaming...
part of the game, honestly! I'll let you know when it doesn't make sense in the world, but typically I'm not too worried about it. This is roleplay, not a simulation of real life!
