About GamerMike

My name is Mike, and I love gaming!!! I've been playing TTRPG since the 1980's (let's hear it for Moldvay!!!) as well as many of the old-school video games. Anyone remember the old Might and Magic games? I've played in and GM-ed several different gaming systems including EVERY edition of D&D, Dark Heresy, War Hammer 40K, Dresden, and a Shadows of Brimstone variant. I make my own digital maps, 3d print my own terrain, and generally annoy my family with all things nerdy. What brought me to StartPlaying.Games? I've seen campaigns come and go. I love playing in an environment where players and GMs alike are invested in the story, characters, and overall success of the game. I want to work in a fun and safe environment where players are committed and sessions continue to progress through the story. That is what I bring to the table as a GM: fun, safe, commitment, progress, and a good story. Whether we are playing in a published campaign or a home-brew one-shot, I strive to deliver a quality service for your gaming needs. So, give me a shot. I do solo games and one-shots as well as longer campaigns. I look forward to meeting some fellow gaming nerds.

I became a GM because

I love collaborative storytelling. It is the reason TTRPGs are so popular.

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be

D&D 5e, Daggerheart, Call of Cthulhu

When I'm not running games I'm...

Thinking (obsessing really) about games.

How GamerMike runs games

I love to tell a good story, and I love my players to join in that storytelling. RP is encouraged, but I also enjoy a good hack-n-slash combat session as well. I like to provide a variety of role-playing, puzzles and riddles, and combat to each game.
