About the adventure
“The mists part... but they never let you go.” A scream echoes across the valley. A raven watches from a twisted branch. The gates of Barovia creak open, and you step into a land ruled by darkness. You are summoned to Barovia, a forgotten realm where the sun is a myth and hope is a fragile thing. Villagers whisper of the Devil Strahd, the immortal tyrant who watches from the towers of Castle Ravenloft, and each night, the mists grow thicker. In this gothic horror campaign, you and your companions must battle undead horrors, ancient curses, and your own creeping dread. Choices will haunt you. Light may betray you. Creating your character
🔸 Each player will start by deciding on a Level 1 character. 🔹 It is optional for players to have their characters prepared beforehand, as instructions and guidance will be shared on our Discord channel. 🔸 Players will delve into choosing races, classes, and backgrounds that shape their character's story, abilities, and alignment. 🔹 Special attention will be given to the character's unique traits, such as their name, appearance, and personal goals, which will be discussed during and before our first session.

Preparing for the session
🔊 Microphone and Headphones Players should use a microphone and headphones in a quiet environment to ensure clear and effective communication during sessions. 📚 Rule Familiarity Players are expected to review the basic Dungeons & Dragons 5e rules before the campaign begins. Additional rules and guidance will be provided as needed throughout the campaign. 🛡️ Character Creation Characters can be created in advance or collaboratively with the party during the first session. 🖥️ Required Software Players must install the Beyond20 extension, available at: beyond20.here-for-more.info. This tool integrates D&D Beyond with Roll20 for a seamless gameplay experience. 💬 Discord Access Players should have access to Discord for communication and coordination outside of game sessions. Please ensure Discord is installed, properly set up, and that you have joined the campaign server at: discord.com/invite/damsels-and-dice.
What Moses brings to the table
My Discord server has a dedicated group of players and mods ready to help. I have all content on D&D Beyond for players to use at any time. All of my games are POC, LGBT+, and Neurodivergent friendly. Players must be 18+ as game content may not be suitable for minors.
