About Kobold King
Hey! So Pineapple doesn't belong on pizza Also Hi I'm Devin, or MadLadz or Kobold King, I make funny voices and tell the stories of the dice gods (I don't know why they hate me) I've been a DM for quite some time now and enjoy worldbuilding and being as creative as possible with the resources given to me, whether it be a backstory or making quests for my players. I as DM believe that that D&D is heavily a team game and should be treated as such, I go out of my way to make sure everyone is having a good time and feels recognized if possible, in the end I want everyone to make memories about my campaigns so that they can feel more connected to their character.

I became a GM because
It really resonated with my love of mythology and love for world building, it quickly became my favorite hobby, watching my players enjoy the world I built brings me a lot of joy.
My favorite system of all Time is
5e Granted I havent played much else, but it will always hold a special place in my heart, even now as I learn more and more systems.
How Kobold King runs games
I love to throw unique scenarios that bring out emotion in the players, whether it be rage or sadness, I strive to make my players connect with their characters and look forward to every session. I do a 60/40 Roleplay to combat ratio, generally have 1 combat a session or more depending on the area and what the party is trying to accomplish. My goal is to give each of my players a good time and make sure they make memories of the games they play through!

I deal with rules issues by...
By hearing both sides or listening to what's bothering the person, then to the best of my ability I will try to settle any problems with changes to make both parties happy or fix the issue the person is having.
I prep by
Sitting down and working out each route the group might go, what they have been doing and what they might be interested in, several different battle maps just in case, but also several npcs are prepped and ready as well
My games focus on...
Making sure each player has a wonderful time, plenty of laughs are had and new memories are made, to be looked back upon.
Kobold King's ideal table
My ideal table, is a table that everyone can feel free to be themselves at, players that support each other and know that at the end of the day D&D and most other tabletops, you work as a team, no one person has a bigger spotlight, you are all heroes! I want a friendly environment, where people are at ease and jokes can be made

I love it when a player
Takes notes, but also genuinely tries other things, like looking for hidden doors, or notes, thinking outside the box and trying to solve issues creatively rather then in only one way
I think metagaming...
Metagaming in general is bad However! Saying things like I'm slightly injured or I'm really hurt to indicate how hurt someone is completely fine! Asking me as the DM, Hey would I know anything about so and so creature because its famous, then you can do a history roll! There are ways to get info! =)
My table is not the place for...
Those that step on others backstories or have issues with someone due to their pronouns or ethnicity, that will never be welcome at my table.
