About Fare
My name is Fare and I am incredibly excited at the opportunity for you join me at my table as we embark on a journey of deep character RP, compelling storytelling and exploration, and challenging combat. I started playing D&D in 2022 (my pipeline was Baldur's Gate 3 -> Dimension 20 -> Improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade) and I have not looked back. Through all the books I've read, hours of D20 I've consumed, and all the improv classes I've taken, I've used all of these inspirations and interests of mine to help me improve not only as a player, but especially as a DM. I started DMing in late 2024 and I now consistently run games for my friends (all new to the D&D world) and run monthly one-shots for classmates and friends I've met throughout my time in NY and through fellow comedians at the Upright Citizens Brigade. I've run D&D, Daggerheart, Kids on Bikes, as well as Brindlewood Bay, all with great success! Excited to have you join my table and start telling our stories together!

I became a GM because
Making connections and new friends as an adult is difficult. I recognize how lucky and privileged I am to live in a place like NYC and constantly be around people who share in my hobbies. Bringing people together and being goofy and stupid is not just fun, but genuinely and sincerely necessary.
I got started GMing...
as part of the Baldur's Gate 3 to Dimension 20 to improv comedy pipeline! I remember coming into BG3 is skeptical but the moment I made my character and saw all the options, both mechanically and narratively, I was hooked!
How Fare runs games
As an avid reader, voracious speaker (both socially and in my day job), and communal goof, I enjoy creating worlds with other people. I want my players to be involved in the worldbuilding just as much as I am, to the extent they are interested. I love roleplaying NPCs, but especially love it when my players become comfortable RPing with each other, not just me as the DM/NPC. I tend to lean to having more impactful, high-stakes combat. As a result, I tend to run fewer in terms of volume. Quality over quantity when it comes to combat for me, personally. In short, my games are about 60-70% RP/Exploration and 30-40% combat.
Fare's ideal table
I want my players to feel comfortable around the table, I don't want them to be restricted by rulings. I want them to consider all possibilities and ask, "what if I..." and bring me into that thought process to see what we can make happen. The joy is in the creativity and collaboration. My table would be nothing without my players!
