About DM Zach S
Hi all! Zach here! A little bit about my experience: I've been DMing since 2016 and absolutely love this game. In the past 3 years, I've run a bimonthly D&D demo at my local game store for aspiring players, run paid games for kids and families for the same store, and co-hosted a seminar on how to get started as both a player and DM for the newly formed D&D club at a local university. I have experience DMing for both kids (10+ recommended) and adults. Some factoids about me: -I'm a cat dad of 3 -My favorite dessert is Key Lime Pie -My favorite food is pizza

When I'm not running games I'm...
Spending time with my wife, painting minis, reading, jamming on guitar or drums with my friends, maybe getting in some tabletop miniature games, or consuming D&D-related content in the pursuit of constantly improving as a DM. In-between all that I'm telling my cats how cute they are.
How DM Zach S runs games
I'm very open to multiple styles of gameplay and will leave it up to the players to decide what they want. The goal here is to have fun and everyone has fun in different ways. I describe locations vividly and like to do character voices (though I may sometimes get them mixed up haha). I generally abide by the "Rule of Cool" when making rulings. There are certain topics I will not touch during gameplay. If there's a topic you don't want me to incorporate in gameplay, please let me know.

My games focus on...
Fun, plain and simple. If my players aren't having fun, there's a very high probability that I'm not doing my job well. Even I, as the DM, need to be having fun.
Rules are...
In the context of D&D, guidelines. Are some better stuck to than others? Sure, but there are plenty with room for flexibility.
When it comes to voices
You can never have enough. I try my best to have a big variety, but we all have limits.
DM Zach S's ideal table
My tables have a relaxed vibe and I just ask that my players are chill, patient, and understanding not only towards me, but towards each other. I may sound like a broken record at this point, but the goal here is fun. I really love it when players get into their characters. That being said, if you're a little timid or too afraid to get super into roleplaying, that's okay too, as long as you're, you guessed it, having fun.

I think it's a red flag when players...
1. Try to coerce other players on how to play. 2. Think D&D is a video game and try to perform infinite combos or "break" the game. 3. Want to play like a murderhobo. It's really not fun for anyone else at the table who doesn't want to play like that.
