About Emmy_Rhapsodie
Hi, I'm Emmy, I live in Scotland but I'm French. I've been a DnD player and GM for a few years now, with some one-shots and steady campaigns! I haven't had a chance to experience other tabletops, but I have played and GM'd other types of live roleplaying games and events, and I've been an Escape Room game master which was also great fun. I also play a lot of board games and video games.

How Emmy_Rhapsodie runs games
I like a good mix of roleplay conversation times, investigations and explorations, and combat encounters. Leaving choices and possibilities open to the players as they address situations is very important to me, with associated consequences and follow-up situations. I try to make encounters feel narrative too, not always doing the default move or attack but finding details and variations to make it all the more fun for everyone. The world and characters I create usually have their own stories and plans, to make it all feel alive and existing even outside of the party's influence.

Rules are...
A good frame and reference to play within, to have balance between players and NPCs, to help the DM in their writing and prep, and there to support the story and game, but not to imprison creativity and fun.
Emmy_Rhapsodie's ideal table
I welcome players who are there to have fun with the game, their character, the story, but also those who look for intense and emotional investment. I find important to be comfortable being part of a group and I love it when players are excited for one another's moments and stories and not only for their own. Character flaws always make things more interesting, and I never discourage character evolution and changes as the story impacts them and they impact the story. I encourage a kind and tolerant atmosphere, communication and respect, making sure everyone has a good time. I wouldn't recommend my table to people who only want to make jokes all the time, people who want to be the only main character of the story, or never want their character to fail, people who are too uncomfortable or displeased when rules are interpreted beyond their strict meaning, and on the other side of that coin, people who don't want to follow the rules or want to adapt things for themselves all the time.

I love it when a player
wants to add personal touches and creative ideas to their character or to the story, making things their own; I am always open to homebrewed details, flavours, rebranding of the base game mechanics and possibilities, to personalise the experience.
