About Jacob Lee
I love playing D&D, and running games has become the part of the hobby I love most. For over a year now I have specialized in play by post, running multiple 5e and 5.5e campaigns on Discord where the story unfolds in written narrative rather than at a table. That format has sharpened how I write scenes, voice NPCs, and give every player room to shine, and it means I can run rich, immersive games for people whose schedules never quite line up for a live session. What keeps me in the GM chair is watching a party get creative. The best moments at my games are the ones I never planned: the improvised solution that cracks a problem wide open, the noble sacrifice that lands harder because the players earned it, the long odds a group overcomes through nerve and teamwork. I build worlds and villains that push back, then I get out of the way and let the table surprise me. I run for adults, for new players, and for my own kids, and I tailor the experience to whoever is at the table. If you want a game where your choices matter and your character gets to be the hero of the story, I would love to have you.

I started running games because...
I wanted to play with my kids! As mush as I love those at my other tables, they are my favorite adventurers!
My favorite books are
The Lord Of The Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, Dungeon Crawler Carl, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, Artificial Wisdom, Silo Series, The Expanse Series, East of Eden and a lot more!
When I'm not running games I'm...
Making dice and listening to DCC for probably the umpteenth time!
How Jacob Lee runs games
My games are built around the characters at the table. I want every player to feel like their character belongs in the story and has opportunities to shine. I run character-driven games with memorable NPCs, meaningful choices, dangerous encounters, humor, and plenty of room for unexpected player shenanigans. I enjoy taking published adventures and expanding them with new encounters, characters, locations, and homebrew elements so that even a familiar adventure can become something unique to your party. While i am mostly a RAW kind of DM. I don't believe the rules should get in the way of a great idea. If you want to try something creative, tell me what you're trying to accomplish and we'll figure out how to make it work within the game. Your choices matter. The world will respond to what your character does, and actions can have real consequences. At the same time, I'm not here to play against you. I'm here to challenge you, cheer for you, and help create memorable moment together. I'm also very comfortable introducing new players to D&D. You don't need to know every rule, understand every button on your character sheet, or have years of experience to sit at my table. I'll help with character creation, mechanics, combat, and learning the game as we play. Above all, I want my table to be welcoming, patient, collaborative, and fun. Whether you're here for deep roleplay, tactical combat, ridiculous plans, character development, or simply have some roll-y dice-y pretend-y times, there is room for you at the table.

I love it when a player
Owns a "bad" dice roll with intentional roleplay!
My table is not the place for...
Pointless un-aliving of NPCs or trying to start your own harem. Seriously.
