About Anthony
Wassup! I have been GMing since I was 14, starting at a summer camp one shot as a player. Afterwards, I found myself playing with friends from across the country over discord using Roll 20, D&D beyond and Owlbear Rodeo for playing and creating characters. I would watch and listen to DND games like Critical role Campaign 2, and Worlds Beyond Number. A few years later I started getting into DMing my own Dungeons and Dragons games first starting with a one shot with a few homies, then starting a serious campaign a few months after. My 2nd campaign has gone on for over 2 years, started at the same time, each currently with 3 players, in the same homebrewed world. Over the years I've learned to believe in the rule of cool, respecting the rules of the game while also indulging in the story that we will create. Id love to play learn and play other systems like WOD and CAIN.

I became a GM because
I wanted to show my friends what Dungeons and Dragons was like. I had played for a few years before hand and watched the entire Critical Role Campaign 2 and felt comfortable running one. I love playing with new players and introducing people to the game.
My favorite books are
I grew up on Harry Potter, reading all of the books before 12 years old. After that got into Artemis Fowl and the Inheritance series (Eragon). up to the latest Murtaugh book (I mean to read it but haven't found the push). I read a lot of Rick Riordan during high school as well.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Fun, Fair, Flexible or Engaging, Entertaining, Exciting
How Anthony runs games
I enjoy high stakes combat, loot gathering, roleplaying, and strategizing. Id love to explore other forms of DMing, like political intrigue and exploring complicated worlds. I tend to have simpler homebrewed settings, but am not opposed to exploring a module. I believe fully in the rule of cool. I love creating powerful BBEs that are satisfying to thwart, and will be persistent throughout the campaign. If the action is cool, the table is down and the dice agree than the action goes through. I do voices and accents although they are middling at best and inconsistent consistently. I do my best to breathe personality into NPCs and locations through vivid description.

I prep by
Often I do most of my worldbuilding before the game even starts. In session 0 the world is presented and I work with the players to flesh out the places I've already built. After that, frequently I will find myself with an hour before the game drumming up the session details and building encounters.
Rules are...
Flexible and up to the interpretation of the table. I tend to stick to the words when I DM, Rule of Cool however takes priority in my games. If you want to try something and the dice are with you, Ill let it happen.
Anthony's ideal table
My players are flexible and patient. I have skimmed the players handbook and the Dungeon Masters Guide for Dungeons and Dragons 5e. I am familiar but not an expert with the rules, and will frequently quickly search the internet for answers. If there's a rule interpretation and the table finds it wrong I am completely OK with pivoting into that rule interpretation. My table tends to enjoy discovery as well, I love giving little threads that I may not have fully flesh out in my notes but will lead to world lore, treasures, traps and more!

I love it when a player
Has a creative idea or action. If you want to do something cool or attempt to bend a rule, I am completely down to give it a shot! As long as the logic doesn't completely fail upon a bit of pushback, the table is ok with it and the dice agree, we'll make it happen!
