About Adam

I have been an active DM/GM in various systems for over 40 years. My father held D&D games once a month while I was growing up with us kids running our own game in the basement. I've been playing various RPGs ever since. I run one-shots and campaigns, preferring non-published campaigns which tend to run for about 2 irl years before wrapping up.

How Adam runs games

I have been an active DM/GM in various systems for over 40 years. I actively want my players to have fun. I run games with people of different races, sexes, gender identities, religions, nationalities... as long as everyone is respectful around the table we are good. I love to RP and have tactical combat. For RP I will play any type of character that the story needs (although I stink at voices). Combat will trend toward pushing character limits, so death may occur. Due to the potentially deadly nature, I will not hide combat rolls. This is my attempt to maintain air of trust, "fairness", and stakes. I think of terrain as an unbiased participant in battle, so expect it to matter and be used.

considering character backgrounds and player choices to determine the direction the game is moving in. I then flesh out obstacles/adversaries. Finally, I put together maps for where the action will take place.

Adam's ideal table

We are here to have fun and to support the fun of fellow players. I like an even mix of RP and combat. Character death is always a possibility. My antagonists are driven by their own moral clocks, which are typically evil.
