About DM Wyatt

Greetings! My name's Wyatt (he/they)! I'm 28 and I'm from Kentucky (got the accent to prove it). I've been running TTRPG's for almost a decade now and as a professional DM, I specialize in cinematic, character-driven campaigns with political intrigue and deep worldbuilding. I run immersive long-term games where player choices permanently shape the world. My tables are inclusive to the LGBT+ community (of which I am a member), neurodivergent folks, and people of color. Followers of all religions or none are welcome. The only people I discriminate against are deliberately disrespectful and disruptive players.

How DM Wyatt runs games

I run narrative-driven D&D 5e campaigns focused on immersive storytelling, meaningful player choice, and long-term character arcs. My games emphasize collaboration, clear communication, and consequences that matter. My favorite setting is Eberron. I enjoy creating games in its mixture of pulp adventure, noir fiction, and morally complex political intrigue between evolving factions. Roleplay is emotionally impactful. Combat is fast-paced, challenging, and designed to emphasize player characters' strengths and weaknesses. Exploration involves navigating complex environments that incentivize creative problem-solving. Long-term campaigns may include optional companion NPCs inspired by BioWare-style storytelling—but never DMPCs. Player Characters are always the main characters. All campaigns begin with a free Session Zero, and I use a small set of house rules designed to support pacing, tension, and narrative depth. My goal is simple: create a table where players feel invested, respected, and excited to come back every week.

My favorite trope is...

A good old-fashioned anime power-up sequence in the darkest hour.

Rules are...

An excellent foundation. I run close to 2014 5e while using a small set of well-tested house rules that support pacing, tension, and player engagement. These adjustments are refined through player feedback and introduced transparently.

When it comes to voices

I use character voices to enhance immersion and bring NPCs to life. Players are encouraged to engage expressively at their own comfort level—voices are always welcome, but never required.

DM Wyatt's ideal table

I’m an LGBTQ+ GM running an inclusive, neurodivergent-friendly table where all players are treated with respect. I actively maintain a safe, welcoming environment that supports creative expression and roleplay. My games are a great fit for players who enjoy deep world-building, political intrigue, and expressive play, both in and out of combat.

I am for a vibe that's...

a balance of drama and comedy. I love funny moments at the table, but I’m most excited by games where humor exists alongside real stakes and emotional weight. Bring levity to your character while also leaning into the tension when things get serious. That balance is where my games shine.”

I love it when a player

takes notes and uses all the items in their inventory.

I think min/maxing...

is super fun. Mechanically complex player character builds make designing encounters more interesting. I only ask that your character’s abilities are grounded in the narrative—get creative about WHY your character develops the skills they do, and we’ll make those choices matter in the story!
