About Jacob Walker
I am a long time RPG player and particularly enjoy exploring different rule systems to gain a deeper understanding of what the best parts of role-playing games are for different audiences. From DnD 4e in elementary school, to Pathfinder 1e in middle and high school, to DnD 5e and a wide array of rules-light games and hacks in college (Mausritter, Dungeon Walk, DCC, Merciless HellBorg and more!). I've tasted a bit of everything, and aim to bring the best of what I've found into my games.

How Jacob Walker runs games
I like a combination of fast-paced action packed tactical combat, and social intrigue plots that encourage interpersonal communication and deductive reasoning. I also like including puzzles and traps in that encourage players to think critically and find out-of-the-box solutions, and I have many years of experience making funny voices and monster sounds.

My games focus on...
Interpersonal connections, both between players and npcs, quick thinking in the heat of battle, and classic dungeon crawling if I can squeeze it in.
Jacob Walker's ideal table
I love a game that can be heavy on the role-play and social problem solving, while also being able to back that up with solid tactical combat. I think good RP can make fighting feel that much more immersive, and allow it to add to the story instead of just being your daily dose of hack-and-slash.

I love it when a player
Comes up with a solution to a problem that's so crazy, it just might work...
