About Greg
Greetings adventurer, welcome to my profile. I’m Greg, though many know me as DM Fantom. Since 2020, I’ve been guiding parties through thrilling quests across West Marches servers and running classic pen-and-paper campaigns at the table. I have a passion for tactical combat, but what I enjoy most is seeing players surprise me with clever, outside-the-box solutions. If you’re looking for a game that’s lighthearted and fun, yet brimming with danger and excitement, then you’re in the right place. Are you ready to roll the dice and embark on your next great adventure?

I became a GM because
I always liked stories and video games. I wanted to become a game developer as a child, but as a GM you can make fully interactive "video games" with the party. The outcome of which is not finite, but the possibilities are infinite.
My favorite system of all Time is
Call of Cthulhu. It's dark, atmospheric and deadly.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Painting miniatures, making tutorials about painting miniatures or swimming.
How Greg runs games
At my tables, you’ll find a Lawful Neutral GM—fair, consistent, and transparent. Dice are never fudged; they are the Gods, players are the instigators, and I am simply the referee. I love fast-paced games and quick combat turns, with minimal retcons to keep the action flowing. My goal is never to kill characters, yet in a dangerous world, fate can sometimes take a harsh turn. I follow the rules not because they’re flawless, but because they ensure consistency across tables and for the many players I’ve had the honor to run games for. All of my games are run as sandboxes—I prepare a world full of stories, characters, and challenges, just waiting for you to interact with them. Your choices drive the adventure, and player agency is always my top priority. But tread carefully… with the power to shape the realm comes great responsibility.
Greg's ideal table
Have a reason to adventure and to do it with the party. Your character doesn’t need a 20-page backstory, but they should have a personal drive to explore, fight, or discover. More importantly, they need a reason to stick with the group. Lone wolves may be fun in theory, but shared motivation keeps the story alive. Don’t be a passive follower. Step into the spotlight now and then, make choices, and be part of steering the narrative. You don’t have to lead every moment, but the game works best when everyone actively engages instead of just waiting for things to happen. Talk and strategize. D&D is at its best when players collaborate. Discuss plans in and out of character, share ideas during challenges, and build strategies together. Clever teamwork makes victories sweeter and failures more memorable. Always be respectful. This applies to both the table and the story. Respect your fellow players, their time, their characters, and the boundaries we all agree on. A safe, welcoming space is the foundation of every good game.

Tactical Combat
I think it's a red flag when players...
don't respect the group's wishes. For example, if a player expresses a wish to avoid a specific issue and the another player purposefully brings it on, later.
I think min/maxing...
is ok in a game, as long as it is not game/ lore breaking.
