About me
Hi there! I've been playing role playing games for more than 20 years, and I've been running them as a DM/GM/Storyteller for almost as long. There are few things I love more than watching my players interact with a world that I've helped build, telling stories that we're all passionate about, and having fun pretending to be people that we are not. I'm happy to run Dungeons and Dragons, any edition from 2 through 5 (although 5 is probably the easiest!), but I'm also happy to run any number of other systems. Let me know what you're interested in, and we can set up the perfect session for you and your group. Not sure if a system is right for you? We can do a one shot to test it out first!
GM Style
I love interactive narrative play. I love collaborative world building. I love doing voices (although, I'm not always the best at it!) I enjoy running combat, but I'm just as happy when a session takes place entirely around a camp fire, or in a board room, or wherever, with the players talking in character and learning about who they are.

Rule of Cool
I've been having a lot of fun with Mike playing in one of his Blades in the Dark games wherein a play a bit of a mad doctor with a dark past. Mike has been more than willing to entertain my character's eccentricities and plans for world domination. Or at least the domination of Duskvol. Mike is inclusive and respectful and well prepared for every game and easily shifts gears when players do the unexpected. I would definitely play again in any other game he runs.
DDG, or DM Mike as we call him, is a fun and fantastic DM. My wife very sneakily arranged a bespoke one-shot birthday session for me using Mike's services. She knew next-to-nothing about D&D at the time but he walked her through the rules, session structure, and helped her tailor specific elements for my birthday. I've since continued to play with him in a homebrew world of his creation that was structured based on elements provided by me and my friends. I can't recommend him enough!
I've played in three different games with Mike as my GM, a couple short term and one very long term. Mike is kind, considerate, and super fun to play with. He's a very "rule of cool" GM, and doesn't mind discussing different ideas with players or flexing the game a little. He's also INCREDIBLY inclusive, and he's a great DM if you're looking for someone for an adult crowd OR for a younger group.
