About Dewa
I am a Game Master with almost 6 years of experience playing various TTRPGs, with my personal favorites being Fate Core, DnD 5e/5.5, and Call of Cthulhu. I have played a lot of other systems as well such as Cypher and Blades in the Dark. I enjoy game systems that are player-focused, narrative-driven, and modular (either intentionally or via community homebrews). Outside of TTRPGs, I am an aspiring writer and artist, having sketched and even painted various portraits of characters I've played. And I am a dabbler at game design, contantly tinkering with homebrew mechanics.

In order: 1. Pan's Labyrinth 2. The Lord of the Rings. Yes, extended editions. Yes, I consider them all one movie. 3. Lawrence of Arabia 4. Annihilation 5. The Raid
My favorite system of all Time is
Fate (both Core and Accelerated), for the narrative focus and the modularity. I've been able to run this system for people of any experience and for stories of any nature or genre. To date, I've run FATE for space opera, mythic fantasy, detective mystery, military, horror, and pirate fantasy.
How Dewa runs games
I am a narrative-focused Game Master who firmly believes in player agency. Games I run tend to be character-driven adventures where collaborative storytelling seeps through every encounter and scene. I am an avid roleplayer and enjoy crafting scenarios to exhibit my players' roleplaying. You can expect me to tailor my encounters to suit the needs of both the players and the campaign. For example, combat can be tactical set-piece scenes or more narrative, roleplay-heavy conflicts, or both. I can tailor my mysteries to fit a player's fantasy of roleplaying a perfect detective or to fit a player's desire to solve the mysteries themselves using the clues at hand. My games are best suited for Storytellers, Explorers, and Problem Solvers. Though, Instigators, Actors, and Optimizers tend to always enjoy the conundrums I set out for them as well. So, if you're more interested in a ROLEPLAYING game over a roleplaying GAME, you would fit right in. I am most proficient in running short campaigns (6 to 20 sessions) followed by long-running, open world sandboxes. Short campaigns allow players to experience a campaign that ends, which is a fulfillment that tends to be missing in really long campaigns. I run games via Discord and Roll20.
Dewa's ideal table
A Storyteller, an Explorer, an Actor, an Instigator, and an Optimizer. This actually describes the players in my first in-person campaign, and the same players I continue to play with to this day in my home games.

I love it when a player
Makes risky choices, suffer the consequences of their choices and react accordingly, and collaborate with the rest of the table to build an exciting story.
I think metagaming...
Is completely fine if it serves the story. A player that knows a danger that their character do not and leaps into it because it propels the narrative is commendable. Metagaming for the purpose of "winning" a game with no win condition is absurd, however.
My perfect party mix is
A table that has at least one Storyteller, one Problem Solver, and one Explorer.
