About Donovan Forgy

"Entertaining, Eccentric, and Edible" I genuinely enjoy teaching new players the game systems while adding new complexities for experienced players that keeps every session refreshing. I incorporate immersive role-playing, exciting combat, responsive NPC, and creative puzzles, all while providing vivid descriptions to keep players engaged in the world. My goal is to bring out the best in every player through collaborative storytelling. I am flexible to accommodate to most players' requests and needs while maintaining high quality content. My number one rule, above all else, is that every player at my table is in a comfortable environment and is having fun. I know that messaging strangers can be intimidating, but I welcome any questions about role playing games or anything else you might be wondering. I enjoy talking to players new and old and would love to hear from you!

How Donovan Forgy runs games

My games are roleplay (RP) heavy, character-driven story lines with intuitive and enthralling combat. I enjoy working personally with each of my players during character creation to ingrain them in the story and the world we will be writing together.

While I'm no voice actor, I give my NPC voices my all and they all have engaging personalities. Whether it's a unique voice or different cadence, each npc should feel like a real individual living within the world.

I prefer to run my games as close to the rules for whatever game system I am running, however, I do believe in the "rule of cool" and allowing players to bend the rules when it makes for fantastic RP or character moments.

My number one rule of any game is that everyone at the table is having fun and is feeling comfortable. Players who like to immerse themselves in their character and the narrative will get along with players who enjoy combat at my table because I blend the two together to make the overall narrative stronger. Combat services the story, it is not a check box for XP at my tables.
