About me
"Entertaining, Eccentric, and Edible" I genuinely enjoy teaching new players the game systems while adding new complexities for experienced players that keeps every session refreshing. I incorporate immersive role-playing, exciting combat, responsive NPC, and creative puzzles, all while providing vivid descriptions to keep players engaged in the world. I have a dog; her name is Koda. Unrelated to anything, but use that knowledge for what you will. My goal is to bring out the best in every player through collaborative storytelling. I am flexible to accommodate to most players' requests and needs while maintaining high quality content. My number one rule, above all else, is that every player at my table is in a comfortable environment and is having fun. I know that messaging strangers can be intimidating, but I welcome any questions about role playing games or anything else you might be wondering. I enjoy talking to players new and old and would love to hear from you!
GM Style
RP heavy, character-driven story lines with intuitive and enthralling combat. While I'm no voice actor, I give my NPC voices my all and they all have engaging personalities. I prefer to run my games as close to the rules for whatever game system I am running, however, I do believe in the "rule of cool" and allowing players to bend the rules when it makes for fantastic RP or character moments. I enjoy working personally with each of my players during character creation to ingrain them in the story and the world we will be writing together.

Donovan likes to sink detail into his action, offering vivid descriptions through combat and narrating important story beats well. He's welcoming of new players and whether new or old to DnD, you won't be disappointed.

Donny is one of the best DMs I've played with. He does an amazing job of creating NPCS and worlds that live and breathe and feel real. His stories are interesting that grab and engage me the entire way. He loves to communicate with his players outside the game as well. All in all, he is one of the best DMs I've played with.

Donny is an incredible DM. His world building is top notch, and his ability to immerse his players in his worlds is incredible. I have been playing in his campaign for almost a year now and over that year, the party has laughed and cried in equal measure. He is great at incorporating emotional elements of character's backstories, giving everyone at the table equal time to shine. His ability to improvise is incredible, working with anything we throw at him. I have also played in a variety of his one shots. He is also great at creating shorter stories, giving the players an interesting story background while still managing to keep the main interest within a single one shot session. He is a welcoming DM, helping me out as I was just learning how to play. He is encouraging and helps his players wherever he can, especially those who are a little shier with RP. I have never played with a more skilled and accommodating DM.

I currently play in his game Adventurer's Guild. I love all aspects of this game. Like the npcs: Ancient Snow, the shop keep the party is too invested in her love life. Shahana, the shop keep we love to annoy by trying to bargain. Or the love triangle that is Alison, Cynthia, and Ponlar.

Donovan has been an incredible GM so far in my experience. His ability to make every player feel important and like they're actively influencing the story is phenomenal. His one shots and campaigns have been very fun experiences, they helped me grow as a player and through his help i also was able to learn to become a GM myself. I would highly recommend any game that he runs. You will be in for a ride.

Donovan is an excellent DM. One of the finest I've ever had the pleasure of playing with. His storytelling is top notch and I quickly found myself immersed in setting and story. There is always a great balance of RP and combat opportunities that allow the PCs to grow. He cares about his players, and he does everything he can to make sure we have a joyful experience while also making you feel like you're having a real impact on the world around you.
