About Dave The Dungeon Master
Hey guys! I am Dave The Dungeon Master and I have been running my own homebrew games for over five years now. I normally like to run games in my own continuity as it allows my players to leave their mark on the world and shape the long history of it. I will run whatever a player wants of course and am open to new ideas. I do my best to create a table that everyone is welcome at no matter who they are and do not tolerate rude or mean behavior of any kind. I also am a new player friendly DM as more players means more people get to enjoy the game. I have a lot of experience with DMing online via Owlbear and Discord. I am also planning on learning more about D&D Beyonds VTT. All in all I love running games and want the opportunity to help others find enjoyment through this game like I do.

I got started GMing...
Because I am a life long story teller and being able to make collaborative stories with my players is such an exciting opportunity.
My favorite books are
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and The Hunger Games Books
When I'm not running games I'm...
Going to college, spending time with my family, or preparing for my next session.
How Dave The Dungeon Master runs games
I like to create a balanced game with plenty of roleplay and combat mixed in. I consider myself to be very versatile in what I can do. I am also a huge world builder who loves to leave little details for my players to find and use to create theories on where the campaign could be going.

I deal with rules issues by...
Making a ruling in the moment, then after the session we can talk about it if you want to.
If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
James Gunn.
When it comes to voices
I love creating unique voices for each of my NPC's and love it even more. When my players do it for their characters. When I was in high school, I took an improv class and the best piece of advice I ever got from it was to "leave your ego at the door". We sre here to have fun so let's make it happen!
Dave The Dungeon Master's ideal table
I welcome all players of any level of experience and of any background provided they are willing to engage with the story and be respectful of every player at the table. If you find it difficult to do any of these things we can talk about it and find a solution.
Featured Prompts
I am for a vibe that's...
That's fun, engaging, and full of intrigue.
I love it when a player
Engages in roleplay, helps other players to engage in the story/game, or takes notes. The game can be a lot some times but when players make the effort to make the environment welcoming and exciting the games goes much more smoothly. As for note taking, it helps me keep track of every little detail.
I think it's a red flag when players...
When they have main character syndrome or are trying to pick fights with other players at the table. I also see players who consistently violate other players boundaries to be very toxic for a group.
