About DanDanBigelow

Hi I am Dan. I have been a D&D player since 2nd Edition. Now I am stepping into the rolls of an online DM. I am a fast learner and fair DM and want everyone to have a good time. My games are always welcoming to new players at the table. My games are also LBGTQ+ friendly. I am looking for players for late night games or weekend games. I look forward to incorporating your ideas into a grand adventure for all of us! I present tough but fair challenges for my players. I like to incorporate the challenge and tough scenarios that I grew up with in classic DnD but bring it to the modern day. I value all my players and am willing to work with most character concepts. I want you to be able to tell YOUR story!

How DanDanBigelow runs games

My strength as a GM lies in my ability to make great worlds and provide a balance to the three pillars of ttrpg's (combat, exploration, and social interactions). I strive to give my players an amazing story including the use of voice acting, music, and sound effects to make your characters unique backstory come to life in our campaign! I run fast paced combat with great descriptors (I always try to avoid saying things like "you hit" instead describing the sword slashing into the monster). I also provide great production value with custom AI art to suit all the needs of my world and my players.

I deal with rules issues by...

Making a quick judgement in the moment and then looking up the rule after the game. Rules debates bog down gameplay and as long as we are having fun everything is good. I will always doublecheck after a session and course correct for the next one if needed.

My games focus on...

Player driven backstories and interactions. While there is an overarching plot I want to pay special attention to my players and make sure that they feel seen and heard. There backstories come into play as much as the main story.

When it comes to voices

I do voice acting whenever possible. I will even use voice modulators to make myself sound like monsters and other NPCs. I love voice acting and I am passionate for it.

My table vibe is relaxed and friendly. I love having great players that want to immerse themselves in their characters. The table is very friendly and helpful. Players that value roleplay, team cooperation, and overall fun will be welcomed at my table. If your not that into roleplay that is also fine! I am willing to adapt to what the table needs.

Aggression, temper tantrums, or any disgruntled and unruly behavior. It is also not the place for rules arguments or real world political or religious arguments. And sort of bad acting will receive a ban from the table. We are here to have fun playing D&D.
