About me

Heyo, my name's Daniel, but you can call me Dame! I like making stuff, telling stories, and having an awesome time engaging in jolly cooperation! I've been a fantasy and RPG fanatic all my life, but have been a VTTRPG DM for a little over 2 years now, and counting. Everybody has to start somewhere, and with D&D quickly becoming more and more popular this day and age, I'd love to be the one to show you the ropes! I run my games using a combination of Discord and Fantasy Grounds Unity. New to FGU? Not a problem, I'm a self-certified expert, and will have you tackling that learning curve as painlessly as possible! I pride myself in my attention to detail, and genuine desire to see that the entire table feels welcome, included, and heard. If you're looking for a game where you really feel like your character has a place in the story, and your carefully constructed backstory has relevance in the narrative, I'm the guy who can make it happen! Are you looking for a private game to play with friends, found a homebrew class or magic item you really want to get the chance to try out, or just want something simple to help feel the waters of D&D 5e and/or Fantasy Grounds? As of now, I'm unavailable to run extended custom campaigns, but will happily discuss making a one-shot to meet your needs! All I ask is that you give me at least a 3 week notice before a planned game day to guarantee my availability, and to give me the time I need to prepare. GM style

My favorite aspects of D&D include tactical combat, rich story telling, and high fantasy settings. RPGs are one of the greatest outlets out there for stretching the imagination, inspiring critical thinking, and forming life-long memories and connections, and my goal is to bring all of that to the (virtual) table! Not every encounter requires violence or force to overcome, but I relish the opportunity to provide all sorts of unique challenges and twists to combat that help make conflict meaningful and memorable. Rest assured, if combat is your thing, you will find no shortage in my games! If you favor roleplay over combat, believe me when I say creative thinking and heartfelt effort are generously rewarded in my games. I've also got a modest little repertoire of goofy voices and accents, and I strive to make NPCs that are memorable, diverse, and (usually) helpful! Your story matters, and I am honored to be the one to help bring your backstory and character vision life.
