About Tyler
Hi, I'm Tyler, I have been playing rpgs since 2012, and have been gming since 2015. I got my start in 4th edition dungeons and dragons, now I play a wide variety of games. I love to run immersive, character driven stories, that encourage players to make interesting decisions. I think that the role-playing table is meant to create interesting stories between everyone at the table, and help to push creativity. I love teaching new players, and learning new systems, let me know if there is one you are interested in trying and I would love to help you fulfill it.

I'm playing board games, painting minis, or reading. Recently, I have begun writing my first novel!
How Tyler runs games
I run immersive engaging stories that require players to think of inventive solutions. I will typically give unique voices to the NPCs in my games as well encouraging players to rollplay their characters. While i do work to keep my games to an even narrative and combat split, I work hard to keep my combats from feeling stale or cookie cutter, by creating unique arenas or evolving moments. As a player you should feel like you are a part of the developing narrative and have real impact on the outcome of the stories I GM.

When it comes to voices
I love to bring a variety to my characters. You should feel distinct differences when you talk to an arrogant king as opposed to a swindling shopkeeper
Tyler's ideal table
My ideal table has players eager to learn and explore. The story becomes better when we all want to keep it interesting and invest in the world. With that said, I find collaborative tables to be much more fun than competitive ones. As for combat, I usually let the narrative dictate how much combat should exist.

I think min/maxing...
Is only fun when everyone is on board, it becomes difficult to balance encounters if everyone isn't making broken builds. Personally, I prefer to build around character traits and personality, even if it isn't a necessarily strong character.
