About Omar
I’m an outgoing, player-focused Game Master with more than 3 years of experience running Dungeons & Dragons, both online and in person. I’ve run everything from fast-paced one-shots to campaigns lasting more than two years, including both homebrew worlds and official D&D adventures. Outside the table, I’m a biologist, teacher, and polyglot, and communication is at the heart of what I do. That translates directly into my games: I listen to my players, make space for everyone to shine, explain things clearly, and adapt the experience so every group feels unique. What I love most about tabletop RPGs is the chance to create stories that no one could have planned alone. Great moments can come from an epic battle, a difficult decision, a ridiculous plan that somehow works, or a quiet conversation between characters. I see RPGs as spaces for creativity, connection, teamwork, and personal growth, where players can explore new ideas, meet people, and build unforgettable stories together. My table is a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone, regardless of nationality, religion, sexual orientation, identity, background, or experience. Whether you’ve been playing for years or you’re about to roll your first d20, there’s a seat for you at my table.

I started running games because...
A few years ago, my friends and I really wanted to play D&D, but none of us knew how. I had been gifted the Basic Rules for my birthday, so I volunteered to try. I made plenty of mistakes, but between laughs, improvised rulings, and unforgettable adventures, I fell in love with being a GM. Over time
My favorite shows/movies are
Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities and The Shape Of Water, Studio Ghibli films, Guardians of the Galaxy, Interstellar, Arrival, and Anne with an E. I especially love stories that mix science, wonder, emotion, strange worlds, and unforgettable characters.
When I'm not running games I'm...
teaching languages, studying as a biologist, learning new languages, traveling, or probably thinking about some creature, ecosystem, or weird idea that will eventually find its way into a campaign.
How Omar runs games
My campaigns are usually balanced between roleplay, combat, and exploration, and I adjust that balance depending on what the group enjoys most. I especially enjoy sandbox-style games, where players have real freedom to choose where to go, what goals to pursue, and how to approach the world. However, sandbox does not mean directionless. I always make sure there are clear hooks, conflicts, mysteries, and possible paths to follow, so players have freedom without ever feeling lost or like nothing is happening. Even when I run published adventures, I adapt them so that player decisions, backstories, goals, and playstyles genuinely affect the campaign. I prefer presenting situations rather than forcing solutions, and I like when the story grows naturally from the choices the party makes. As a biologist, I also enjoy creating believable environments, ecosystems, creatures, and cultures, often using scientific logic to make fantasy worlds feel more alive without taking away their magic. For me, the best campaigns give players freedom, but also enough structure to make every choice feel meaningful.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
Guillermo del toro and Hayao Miyazaki!
My games focus on...
meaningful player choices, memorable characters, and a balanced mix of roleplay, combat, and exploration. I love giving players freedom to shape the story while still providing clear hooks, mysteries, and adventures that keep the campaign moving.
Rules are...
the skeleton of the game, not the cage! I use them to keep things fair and consistent, but if a clever idea, wild plan, or dramatic moment makes the game better, I’m happy to let creativity have its moment.
Omar's ideal table
My table is a great fit for players who are curious, respectful, collaborative, and excited to contribute ideas. I love players who share the spotlight, communicate openly, and want to help build the story together. New and experienced players are equally welcome. The vibe depends a lot on the campaign. The Wild Beyond the Witchlight can be whimsical and strange, Curse of Strahd darker and more intense, Obojima cozy and adventurous, while a homebrew campaign can become something completely unique. Whatever we play, expect creativity, meaningful choices, laughs, dramatic moments, and a table built around communication and respect.
