About Araga
I have more than 20 years of experience as a Game Master, running Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Star Wars, World of Darkness, Chronicles of Darkness, and custom systems across fantasy, science fiction, intrigue, drama, horror, modern, supernatural, heroic, and villainous stories. My focus is creating vivid scenes, meaningful choices, memorable characters, and worlds that respond to what the players do. I want your character’s struggles, ambitions, relationships, victories, and mistakes to matter. I enjoy bringing personal stories to the forefront while still giving the group room to shape the larger world around them. I have a strong understanding of rules systems and game design, which helps me recognize when flexibility creates a better moment and when the rules need to hold firm so that choices and victories retain weight. Clever ideas are welcome, but gravity should still function. I am equally comfortable helping a brand new player learn the game or giving an experienced player the mechanical depth, challenge, and complexity they want. I adjust naturally to the experience and interests of the people at the table. Whether I am running a focused adventure or an expansive sandbox full of factions, secrets, and consequences, my goal is the same: create a game that draws you into the world, gives your character room to matter, and leaves you thinking about what happened long after the session ends.

The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Immersive, adaptable, and consistent. I create worlds and scenes players can get invested in, adjust naturally to different experience levels and play styles, and maintain enough consistency that choices, risks, and victories have weight.
How Araga runs games
My GM style is immersive, character focused, and responsive to the table. I build vivid scenes, living worlds, and conflicts that bring your character’s goals, relationships, and difficult choices into focus. Player decisions matter, and I enjoy letting campaigns grow organically and adjust to ensure that the players stay the focus of the game. I know the rules well enough to understand why they work. I am flexible when an unusual idea creates a better game, but I also believe consistency gives choices weight and makes victories feel earned. The world should react to creativity without losing its internal logic. I adjust the depth and complexity of play to the group. New players can expect guidance without being overwhelmed, while experienced players can expect layered situations, mechanical depth, and meaningful consequences. I am comfortable moving between roleplay, investigation, intrigue, exploration, and combat as the story demands. I favor challenges with more than one viable solution (no Key-A only opens Door-A situations) and NPCs with their own motives rather than a single predetermined path. Whether the game is a focused module or a broad sandbox, I want players to have room to pursue what interests them. I aim for strong pacing, shared spotlight, and a tone that can move naturally between humor, tension, triumph, and darker moments without undermining the world.

My games focus on...
My games focus on immersive worlds, meaningful choices, memorable characters, and consequences. I want your character's goals and struggles to matter while giving the group the freedom to shape the larger story through what they choose to pursue.
Rules are...
Rules are the physics of the shared world. I know when bending one can create a great moment, but consistency gives decisions, risks, and victories their weight. Creativity should be rewarded without leaving everyone wondering whether gravity still works.
Araga's ideal table
My ideal table is made up of players who enjoy getting invested in their characters, the world, and the choices they make. You do not need years of experience to fit in. Curiosity, respect for the other players, and a willingness to engage with the game matter far more. I enjoy tables where players take the story seriously without feeling like every moment has to be serious. Humor, dramatic tension, clever plans, bad decisions, emotional scenes, and unexpected solutions can all belong in the same campaign. Players who enjoy roleplay, exploration, intrigue, tactical decisions, and meaningful consequences will find plenty to engage with. I encourage creativity and unusual approaches, but I also value consistency and a world that follows understandable rules. I make room for different personalities and experience levels, including quieter players who may need more space to find their voice. The best fit is someone who shares the spotlight, respects boundaries, stays engaged with the group, and wants their choices to genuinely matter. My goal is a table where everyone contributes to a story worth remembering.
