About Brandon
To me, D&D is more than just a hobby. I treat it as a lifestyle and my favorite thing about it is how it creates deep, long lasting bonds and meaningful connections with others. Storytelling is one of my favorite ways to express myself and I love sharing that with others

I got started GMing...
A bunch of my classmates wanted to play D&D and I was the most experienced and had been wanting to get into DMing after years of playing
My favorite shows/movies are
I’m a huge Firefly and Serenity fan. I also believe Lord of the Rings is the greatest franchise of all time
When I'm not running games I'm...
In school studying to become an X-Ray Tech, hanging out with my friends, and playing in games
How Brandon runs games
I love to foster an environment where players can roleplay their characters getting to know each other throughout the adventure, fleshing out their backstories and really grounding themselves in the setting. I love descriptive combat with an appropriate challenge so that the players really feel like they themselves are leveling up right alongside their characters

I prep by
Giving my party the freedom of choice and making sure whatever choice they make has an in-depth path laid out so that I don’t have to be on the spot or making it up as I go
My games focus on...
Character development and an overarching plot that envelopes the character backstories.
When it comes to voices
It doesn’t have to be perfect, but I think it adds a layer of immersion and more fun to the game
Brandon's ideal table
First and foremost, the most important part of any D&D table, in my opinion, is fun and connection. I thoroughly believe that if these things are the priority, any group of players can tell an amazing story. Players who can maintain a sense of whimsy and humour, while also bringing some seriousness to the table as well will do well at my table.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
Critical Role. I know they’re professional voice actors, but I treat their style as an ideal to aim for, and I think that improves my performance and that of those around me
I love it when a player
Gets vulnerable and pours raw emotion into their character’s interactions. Also when they creatively describe their actions in and out of combat
My table is not the place for...
Murder hobos, metagaming, or main character syndrome. While I appreciate games like GTA, this isn't it and I believe behaving that way breaks immersion and bogs down the story
