About Brandon
What’s up everyone, my name is Brandon. I’ve been putting dragons in these here dungeons for roughly 4 years and recently decided to try my hand at being a professional DM here on StartPlaying. My main goal during the game is to tell a story, one that is created by and for the players. I want to be the catalyst at our tables that helps to guide the players towards making true friendships that last beyond the game. I’m proud of the campaigns that I run, some of which are homebrewed in the world of Critical Role’s Exandria, and that pride comes out in the rich story-telling, vibrant world settings, and immersive NPCs that I create Outside of creating unforgettable experiences at the table, I am an artist, a profound lover of the entire Lord of the Rings series, and have an obsession with cats. I enjoy cooking and playing guitar, and will gladly talk your ear off about Star Wars. I like making myself available inside or outside of games for open communication, whether that’s about a session we had previously, a question about a future game, or just to say hello.

How Brandon runs games
I love to foster an environment where players can roleplay their characters getting to know each other throughout the adventure, fleshing out their backstories and really grounding themselves in the setting. I love descriptive combat with an appropriate challenge so that the players really feel like they themselves are leveling up right alongside their characters

Brandon's ideal table
First and foremost, the most important part of any D&D table, in my opinion, is fun and connection. I thoroughly believe that if these things are the priority, any group of players can tell an amazing story. Players who can maintain a sense of whimsy and humour, while also bringing some seriousness to the table as well will do well at my table.

Murder hobos, metagaming, or main character syndrome. While I appreciate games like GTA, this isn't it and I believe behaving that way breaks immersion and bogs down the story
