About Sophia
✨Hello adventurers! ✨My name is Sophia, and I’ve been playing tabletop roleplaying games for almost 11 years now, and game mastering for around 5. I was club president of my DND club and vice president before that having 40 gamers joining at one point. I volunteered as a gm at Gen Con Indy for Monty Cook games and know my way around many systems. If you are looking for a game with a solid schedule and a chill dm who will be invested in your character, I’m the game master for you. If you’ve never played a table top roleplaying game, I have a lot of experience teaching new players. If you’re someone who’s always wanted to try a home brewed game, I’ve done it all. I usually play in a more story-driven way, than a math way. That being said, there will always be some adding and subtracting in these games so come prepared. LGBT+ Friendly and Neurodivergent friendly.

I got started GMing...
When I first became vice president of my school’s ttrpg club as a sophomore. I had been playing dnd for a while by then, but knew if I were to be club president one day (which I did end up doing) I’d have to know how to dm. I did a Glitter Hearts campaign for the club president + club before me.
My favorite system of all Time is
Monster of the week. I LOVE THIS SYSTEM. It is so versatile, and the homebrews are so fun to mess around with. I did a huge Animorphs themed campaign that lasted a whole year + two sessions a year later. I still talk to the people in that campaign. I created my own “Morph” system.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Fun, flexible and friendly. I’d say beginner friendly but that would make it four words, and I’m friendly to all Lol.
How Sophia runs games
Here’s how my games are typically run: We always start with a “session zero”. This is when I get to know my players (and you get to know each other). We make character sheets and for beginners I explain how the game works. I ask what everyone is looking for, whether it’s a funny low stakes quest or a long campaign with deep lore and dungeons. If you don’t want to make your own character, I have pre-made sheets as well. Then after that, we set a schedule and get into the story. I am very much a character focused dm. I don’t usually do complicated graphs or make you roll for every little action. If that’s something you are looking for, while I can adapt, I can’t change my play style. There will be no min-maxing, your characters will have flaws. While I have pre-written intros and certain key points, I’m pretty fluid as a dm. I will push you to role-play and dig deep into their lore. I am known to have satisfying endings to sessions and exciting situations. Every player will have a focused session for longer campaigns. Since I was a club president, I have practice making sure everyone is engaged to the best of their abilities.
Sophia's ideal table
The general vibe at my table is exciting. People who care about their characters and really get into the role playing. They talk with each other and enjoy trying new things. If you are looking for a gm who explains the game in a way that’s exciting and engaging, I’m the one for you. I know how to keep a game lighthearted and still get into the gritty of your character’s backstory. Players at my table are usually curious, asking tons of questions and using their skills in creative ways. If you’re afraid of not getting a chance to talk or play, that will NOT be an issue. I am constantly thinking of ways to engage players and push them out of their comfort zones in a safe, enjoyable way. Everyone eventually role-plays because I’m known to rage bait players into reacting for their characters.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
If you’re into The dragon prince or sci-fi, you’re going to love my table. I’m always finding unique ways to reference my favorite media. My favorite campaigns I’ve ever done were Tv show or book ttrpgs.
My perfect party mix is
Players who understand they are writing a story as well as playing a game. Players who interact with their party members and npcs. Players who are constantly thinking outside the box, as well as thinking of where they want their character to be by the end.
My table is not the place for...
Making other people uncomfortable. I am not afraid to kick you out if you’re being sexist or racist. Other than that, my table is not the place for nit-picky people. In the chance I make a wrong call, I’m pretty flexible. If you’re someone who likes picking apart every rule and number… sorry.🤷♀️
