About Morgan
A decade of D&D experience, a DM who wants your characters to have an impact, and a seasoned profesional DM. I adore this game and creating stories and roleplaying are my favourite things in the world. At my table, character choices are impactful, combat is dynamic, and we tell exciting stories together. I like to start planning with a conversation with my players, understanding what type of game they want and how they want the story to go. Players should join my table if they want high RP, impactful choices, and combat that is less about grinding XP and more about progressing a story. Let’s tell tales together.

I became a GM because
I love telling stories! Collaborative creation is something I really enjoy and GMing is a great way to do that
When I'm not running games I'm...
LARPing! All my favourite hobbies involve role-play. I play in a variety of LARP systems but my main system is Empire LRP in the UK
How Morgan runs games
- Player Driven I provide the world, the characters, and the events. But what happens is up to you. This does not mean that you should expect a zero prep, fully improvised, and unplanned adventure. This means that I will give you levers and pulleys to pull so that you drive the car and choose where it goes. - Dynamic Combat I don’t want combat to just be spending three hours reducing the enemies hit points to zero before they reduce yours to zero. Combat will have story reasons and external objectives. Fights will be dynamic and meaningful, with depth to the enemy motivations and trails for you to pick up on. I also put a lot of care into the design of boss monsters, ensuring fun and memorable combats. - Impactful Choices Your choices matter. Whether you decide to work with the bandit captain, rebel against the local lord, or inform the tavern keeper that you think their food could be improved, the actions you take will change how the world sees your characters. Loose ends don’t fade away and the rest of the campaign will be impacted choices you make at every stage.

My games focus on...
The impact of character choices. Whether your working with the local sheriff to clear bandits off the land or facing off against the chosen one of the good of murder, what matters is what choices your characters make and how they affect the world around them
Rules are...
All that stops us just playing pretend. They exist for me to say what happens next when I couldn’t predict the outcome. Rules should be a guiding hand, not a restraint, but they can give the game some exciting stakes in the best way
When it comes to voices
Voices are on part of a role play toolbox, but not the only one. A character is sold by their actions and mannerisms, and subtle changes in voice can go a long way to what a full accent can provide
