About Bara

I started playing and running TTRPGs in the early 90's and have never looked back. My favorite thing about TTRPGs is the human connection, especially in our modern social media driven world. My name is Bara, AKA Goblin Wench Games. I love playing D&D because it brings real life people together. I am pro LGBTQ (as a LGBTQ person myself), but I am also a U.S. Navy veteran and work with conservative people. At the end of day, I believe in pluralism. You do you, life is hard, let's play a game.

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

Casual, Fun, Interesting

How Bara runs games

I like to keep the game casual; I am a beer and pretzels kinda DM. Rules are there to provide balance and remove bias, but they should never get in the way of everyone having a good time and telling a good story. I do not like when the game slows down or is taken too seriously. My games are fun first and foremost.

I deal with rules issues by...

making a judgement call on the fly and looking up the rules later (for next time).

My games focus on...

being casual and having fun.

Rules are...

a guideline.

Bara's ideal table

I shoot for a beer and pretzels vibe. Grab a beverage. Grab a snack. Pull up a chair. Roll some dice. Slay some goblins. Make some new friends.

Featured Prompts

I am for a vibe that's...

chill and fun.

I love it when a player

comes up with a creative way to deal with a situation, especially if they find a fun way to interact with the environment.

I think it's a red flag when players...

harass others.
