About Jo Runicles

Ever since I was a child I have used make belief and role play a part of my life, what is tabletop gaming and how can it be used to gamify therapy? That is where Fate & Fortune. I want others to experience the benefits of tabletop gaming not only in their personal life but also as an alternative to teambuilding. D&D helped me to learn and feel better about myself in a fun and unique way. As a DM I have had over a years experience but have been in facilitator based roles through previous employment. I also love board games so managing a party who may be rowdy is nothing that I am aftraid of. I love a mixture of genres and themes and always welcome feedback and encourage players to use their voices in more ways than one.

that I used to be a boat deliverer in the UK.

When I'm not running games I'm...

reading or playing board games... sometimes playing on the Switch.

How Jo Runicles runs games

I am a fair and considerate games master who uses high emotional atmospheric situations to challenge and deepen the experience of my players. If a player has an issue we resolve it as a team unless there are any serious concerns. I love trying new things and am happy to try a new system. I also like certain themes such as intrigue, empathy and ethical challenge experiments. Previous players love the comedy that comes through despite the emotions that may be felt.

Jo Runicles's ideal table

I love players who are willing to learn along the way and develop their character over time. I am partial to a bit of chaos and will happily lean in to this when needed. Relaxed and creative roleplay suits me well as sometimes the rules are needed to change or be broken.

I think it's a red flag when players...

take over the scene especially during combat.
