About PierceTheSky BM
My name's Ben, and I've been a DM for a four person group for 2 years, as well as being a DM for a Westmarch Server for about 3 years before that. I've been playing RPGs overall for about 8 years, give or take a few months.

I got started GMing...
On a Westmarch Server with seven other GMs at the time, then I struck it out on my own with my own personal table!
When I'm not running games I'm...
Creating art commissions for a variety of people (including card games and conventions) and doing voice over work for fandubs.
How PierceTheSky BM runs games
I'm a big fan of role-playing, with medium levels of combat; They'll be difficult, but if you play smart you should all survive each encounter. I also pride myself on lateral thinking, both in puzzles and encounters; If you can surprise me, then I'm all for it. I also pride myself in being able to do many, many different voices for NPCs, as well as occasionally provide my own artwork. Overall, my games are about laughter, so if you want that kind of energy I can bring it to you.

I once ran a session...
Where a group of four players were facing off against a trio of Yokai being forced to battle them. When one of them was turned feral, one of my players teleported it into the viewing ring above the pit where the corrupt nobles were watching. I gave them DM inspiration for something so bonkers.
My games focus on...
Fun and fairness, and a little bit of bonkersness- If I can make you laugh and all feel included, that's great session to me!
When it comes to voices
I am all for them! If you want to try one, by all means! Heck, I try to do as many different voices for NPCs as I can! Some of them are even consistent!

I love it when a player
does something to surprise me in a creative way; Not in a 'gotcha' moment but in a 'Huh, I didn't think of that angle!' moment. I'd plan for Scenario A, B, C, D, and a player comes up with Option K.
I think min/maxing...
is an option to use; Everyone plays in their own way after all, but if you also choose to embrace the skills you're NOT good at and roll with the bad rolls, that's even more perfect. Getting a Nat 20 in a skill you're made for is good, but a Nat 20 on something unexpected is amazing.
My table is not the place for...
those who're looking for brutal, gritty, dark and despair filled realism. It's my intention to give players a smile or laugh each session if possible, so if you're looking for grimdark and hopelessness, this isn't the table for you. But good luck searching!
