About Ryan
I have been into TTRPG's for about 8 year at this point, I fell in love with them hard when discovering DnD, and haven't looked back since. I first started out as a player but later found my true passion for the game with DMing, since then its been a constant ride of fun, passion and adventure. DMing has allowed me to open up more in life and embrace the nerdy soul that I possess. I ran a memorable campaign all throughout the pandemic for my friends online, and now I have a regular campaign that I run at home thats been going on for almost 3 years now, all based in a homebrew world I've created. If you are looking for a DM who will always do whatever they can to allow you to create stories that you will hopefully remember for many years to come, then I'm your guy. I used to be a big fantasy book nerd, but now I've turned to DnD to give me some of that dopamine hit for that genre. I am also a writer in my free time and have been developing my own TTRPG systems, such as my own Fallout system, as well as a folkhorror themed game. I'm also in the process of writing a novel based of my first campaign that I ever played as a player.

I became a GM because
I wanted to tell stories with friends through fantasy and collaboration, whether thats through amazing characters with players behind them who just embody every inch of them, to exploring endless feeling worlds.
My favorite shows/movies are

How Ryan runs games
I love to host roleplay heavy games, with a nice balance of combat and puzzles when it fits. I believe that DnD is a player focused game, and so I love diving into players backstories and highlighting parts when it fits into the main narrative. We are here to tell a story together, and so that's what I try and help us craft. I don't expect my players to give me pages of backstory (though I wont turn it away), I just want players that are willing to leave their real affairs behind and fall into my world and feel it on their skin for the sessions length. But do not threat, combat is also a useful tool for my kind of games, as I like to place it just right into the moments that call for it. I'm also very much not blind to a good dungeon crawl, or even a labyrinth of puzzles, all is a key ingredient to the perfect DnD game and campaign.
Ryan's ideal table
I love players who aren't afraid to just lean into roleplay and turn any moment possible into a scene, especially during the downtimes on games such as travel. If you are able to start talking in character, without being prompted to, then you are more than welcome at my table. But do not threat, if you are a new/shy player, then I will gladly take you in, as I was once just that, and it was through this game that I was able to step outside of my comfort zone a bit, plunge head first into roleplay, and believe me when i say, its worth it.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
As cliche as it might be at this point, if you're into Critical Role, then my table always has a spot for you. Just dont compare me too much to Matt lol
I think min/maxing...
Not really my thing, but if you can do it whilst still roleplaying your butt off, and not being a try hard, then you are still welcome at my table.
