About Logan Lampton

Hi, I'm Logan. I've been playing tabletop games and GMing them for what some people might say is far too long. Let's prove them wrong and play fantastic games to spite them! My training in acting, improv, and writing translate to engaging NPCs and reactive worlds. I want you to feel like whatever you are playing is your version of that story, that we are creating together. Alongside awesome voices and characters, our games will feature tight gameplay mechanics and combat, and allow you to solve situations creatively. Even when we are playing premade modules, I want you to make it your own. There have even been times where a party just decided to adopt the villain of a particular quest. It didn't always end well, but it was always unique. Some of my previous examples of being extra for players: - Someone liked Twilight, so I made a fan-fic D&D version of Twilight staring ghosts, called "Ghosted". - Players liked a bard in the tavern, so I wrote songs for him that he/I performed poorly. - Players wanted Dark Powers to make deals with, so I made unique ones for each of them to sell their souls to with plenty of unique gameplay benefits. Plus, Dark Powers always have great personalities. Whatever your party is into, we will do our best to incorporate it! Because we're fun like that. Join me if you want awesome roleplay, reactive quests, and crunchy combat. Adventure awaits! Huzzah!

I became a GM because

I want to share the the joy for roleplaying games with everyone. Like so many of us, I got started GMing, so that my friends and I could play games together. I got hooked on creating shared stories while playing games with friends and want to create fun stories with you too!

People are always surprised when I tell them

My brother has a masters degree in opera singing. I'm pretty good at karaoke but he destroys me, keeping me humble.

When I'm not running games I'm...

Poorly performing comedy in NYC, often improvised comedy, which helps with thinking on my toes during my true calling, Game Mastering! I also like short walks on the beach and playing lots of RPG video games, when not playing TTRPGs.

How Logan Lampton runs games

I absolutely love roleplaying. That includes doing high quality voices, improvising dialogue with characters, and really thinking about how characters would act. I've spent a lot of time studying acting and comedy, and I think that it comes across in my games. While my tone is serious in games and sometimes I game master horror games or campaigns, my quick sense of humor comes out in ways that players find very amusing and a good burst of levity. I also really appreciate the game portion of roleplaying games, and make sure to be very well versed on the rules of the particular game and find ways to regularly implement those rules, be they skill challenges, combat, or otherwise. I like to challenge my players in difficulty that is matched to the level of experience of a player. So it can be more casual experience, or tough as nails, if that is the preference of the group. I think that the important thing is always to deliver what is fun for the particular party. I also like to experiment with the world being more reactive to the players and encouraging them to be proactive players. With a good grasp on the rules, and a lot of experience preforming improv, I can roll with the punches and have a lot of fun at the delightful choices that players make and the consequences to them. Basically, I love roleplaying games. I love the roleplay and I love the gameplay. My goal is to make the best game experience possible and spread that joy to others.

Logan Lampton's ideal table

My table style is for those who love roleplay and gameplay. I like to use the game mechanics and NPCs to react to the players' decisions and build rich worlds to interact with. If the players want to spend a session just roleplaying, great! If they want to spend a session focusing solely on combat, great! Overall, our campaign should feel like a nice mix of roleplaying and gameplay, with plenty of depth to both.
