About Marcos André
Hello, my name is Marcos André, a game master from Brazil with 6 years of experience that has decided to enter the realm of professional GMing. Most of my experience is with Dungeons and Dragons 5e, but I have begun to use simpler systems like Old-School Essentials and 3DeT, nonetheless I am more than willing to learn a new system to run. My style of GMing is more to the chaotic side of things, usually starting with a published adventure and slowly letting the dice and players decide the way things go, a method that, more often than not, leads to a more fun, if more chaotic version of the adventure. I try to foster a friendly environment at my tables, doing my best to ensure a positive relationship between my players and myself. It is common for me to create custom content for specific players, such as custom weapons, classes, items, etc.

I became a GM because
my friends and I had heard about RPGs and wanted to try them, I was the only one at the time who knew English and thus the job of learning the system fell on me.
How Marcos André runs games
I usually prioritize a more emergent type of storytelling, preferring the players to create simpler characters that can be easily expanded upon as the campaign goes on. Still, I am fine with players bringing complex characters to the table as long as those fit with the campaign theme and style. I tend to lean towards the harder side of things when it comes to combat, with enemies having a decent variety of abilities and being decently intelligent, they are inhabitants of the same world as the player characters after all. I make use of random encounters to make long travel sections more interesting for the players, with a considerable variety of encounters, ranging from surprise bandit ambushes to friendly interactions with the local dragon.
Marcos André's ideal table
My tables tend to become rather chaotic as I grant the players quite a bit of freedom regarding what options are immediately available, while also being very open with information about the world if I am asked about it. Players who are not looking for a masterfully crafted multi-arch long plot, but instead a fun storytelling game, will fit in just fine with my style of GMing. I do expect respect between the players and will intervene if I believe this rule is being broken.

I am for a vibe that's...
More casual and friendly, though I do expect a fair bit of dedication towards the game from my players.
I think metagaming...
It is a complicated matter, as what qualifies as metagaming varies from person to person, but I do make use of the split between player knowledge and character knowledge to set up future/background events.
I think min/maxing...
It is only acceptable when ALL players are min/maxing; otherwise, I will request that such be avoided.
