About Sasha

My name is Sasha, I've been playing tabletop games since 2019, I started GM'ing in 2022 with D&D 5e and Cyberpunk Red, I've played in multiple systems since including Hunter: The Reckoning, Traveler and 3 rounds of playtests during the development of MCDM's Draw Steel. Some other hobbies of mine include painting miniatures for Warhammer, consuming more ttrpg content like Dimension 20 and Quinn's Quest and playing video games like Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us and Flatout 2. I run games for new and experienced players alike, everyones welcome at my table regardless of experience level!

I became a GM because

I started GM'ing because I wanted to play Cyberpunk Red but my friends were not willing to take up the role, I quickly realized it didnt need to be so difficult and I could have a lot of fun doing the work. GM'ing has been super fulfilling and enjoyable, and I am so happy I can share this hobby!

How Sasha runs games

I love a good action set piece and tense combat encounter with secondary objectives and stakes, I also love to include plenty of roleplay opportunities between players, or players and npcs! I strive to provide a good gameplay/narrative balance in my games aswell as a new player friendly environment to help bring as many people into the hobby as humanly possible. I love having a party of characters who mesh well together, which is why I tend to have character creation as a group, avoiding keeping character features secret between players (they may be secret to the characters! but the players should know what people have going on to prevent potential tensions with keeping information away). I specialize in running one shots and shorter adventures (2-3 sessions) I enjoy stringing them together with the throughline being the player characters and their relationships if running with the same group multiple times.

I once ran a session...

I once ran the finale of an adventure that had been online until that point, at 8 in the morning on a tight 3 hour deadline before I had to leave with my friend to drive 7 hours back to our city before her shift at work started, and that was the best damn DnD I've ever run!

Rules are...

I think rules are good, I enjoy them and like to run by the rules 90% of the time, until you come up with a really cool idea that I want us to do, I am fully willing to bend the rules for cool things, but generally, if possible I like to go rules as written/intended.
