About TJ
Hi, I'm TJ! I grew up all over the East Coast in all the big cities, but now I call Denver and mountains home. I went to school for music education and was a music teacher for a few years before I found passions elsewhere. I like camping, storytelling, cosplay, crafting, dogs, and Ren Faires. I have over 7 years of experience GMing tabletop games and and even more experience as a player. I've run systems from D&D, Never Stop Blowing Up, and The Quiet Year, to modular systems like Kids On Bikes. I currently run two D&D home game campaigns that have been going for 4 years strong. I create many extensive hand-crafted battle maps and props for my players and have a whole production and recording studio dedicated to the endeavor. I am the CEO and creative director of Dice Of Ages, a streaming & game design company. We stream our games on multiple platforms & even developed a new kid-friendly system known as Dungeons & Doggos. We frequent gaming conventions where we market our extensive 3D printed and hand-painted models for tabletop games as well as run and GM games for the community. I've also run several seminars for fellow GMs to help hone their skills and learn new ways/philosphies to help retain players, improve engagement, and more! I always strive to make a healthy and safe environment for my players at the table as well as keep them engaged and interested though many teaching and facilitating methods. Nothing is off the rails and everyone has something to contribute.

How TJ runs games
I run games through a philosophy that almost nothing is off the rails and everyone has something to contribute. If the party goes off the rails, it's my responsibility to make new rails. I enjoy finding what intrinsically motivates each player and making sure that that is included in both the story and our interactions. I'm a strong advocate of improv components like "Yes and...", and "No but...", as they allow for an aikido method of cooperation. I'm a huge fan of custom-made and homebrew methods/mechanics as well as imaginative and creative shenanigans. I'm a seasoned improviser and fledging voice actor that loves to foster the same in my players at the table. I enjoy following my players' lead to ensure engagement and fruitful drama/comedy. It is one of my tenants that I foster a safe and welcoming table for all. I enjoy running session zeros and communicating with my players above the table and outside of the game in order to facilitate desires and manage expectation. I love working together with my players to zero in on there imaginative creations while maintaining fun space for all. Have some crazy ideas for a new character or spell that you've been craving to make a reality? Awesome. Let's build something together! I have several custom worlds pre-built that we can go adventuring through, or we can make a brand new one together via The Quiet Year or another method. I hope you can hand me your little ball of trust so we can forge a path through our imaginations.
