About Matthew Patterson
I personally am Chaotic/Neutral alignment i started playing and GMing ttrpg's for about 18 years now staring with D&D 3.5 and continuing in the world of ttrpg's from there one of my favories is the now defunct Star Wars Saga edition. But I have run and played many different game systems in these 18 years. I loves ttrpg's it is my primary hobby I am GMing one game currently and I am playing in two others weekly, I think ttrpg's are the ultimate form of games due to the freedom you have, even within the confines of pre written adventures. As for me personally I am an old school punk rocker type of guy pretty laid back and go with the flow type, if I was a ninja turtle (the only real way to judge a persons character imo) I would be a Michaelangelo. I love beach life, dogs, beer and tabletops. I used to be a chef so dont get me started on food talk, I cant stop. All in all I am usually a chill dude and my game atyle hopefully reflects that.

How Matthew Patterson runs games
My GM style is a fair mix of roleplaying and combat, I enjoy homebrewing a lot of aspects so players can help build a world that is tailored to them and they can have a strong presence in said world without having to worry about the constraints of predetermined lore, I find this especially adcantageos when dealing with newer players. RAW is a great basis and foundation for any system and should be upheld, but I always believed that cool is the rule and will accomadate checks and roles to make what a player wants to do work within the rules, another rule I live by is what my circle calls rule 1, or sky is blue, meaning that as DM my final verdict, is THE final verdict. Not to say I am unreasonable and wont work with players, but if an issue slogs down a game, I will put my foot down and make a unilateral dicision. I as a GM also like to make the players feel special, for instance if in an episodic campaign someone might get their own little backstory progressing quest, but on the grand scale big heroes are my thing, the adventurers in my game are often not the only ones willing to take care of things but are usually the only ones who can, there will be other aventurer npcs of course but as I said I would like the party to feel special and not just another adventuring party. Overall we are here to have fun playing a social game of pretend. and rolling some polyhedrials in this case, I am also open to critcis and will work with my players for a fun and engaging story.
